I usually don't write reviews like this. Honestly though whoever was working on 05/13/2025 evening shift at around 7 PM made my shopping experience so uncomfortable. However my sister and i were in there looking around, not shopping for anything particular just wanting to see what they had. These girls in there were very pretentious. One for staring us up and down in the store even when we were walking out as if we were stealing something, they never greeted us or asked us if we needed help, just simply made assumptions over absolutely nothing. I felt targeted and profiled. She was snarky and honestly one of the worst encounters i have had at retail which prompted me to write this. It is disturbing to know that people genuinely can't enjoy their jobs without making others uncomfortable. We ended up leaving and buying nothing as we were being stared down the entire time. These employees give anthropology a bad rep and my mother and i are long time customers, but that really rubbed me the wrong way. I do not appreciate being stared at and followed while i am trying to shop and look around. That is not a crime nor should that be suspicious. We are in a retail store. Completely innapropriate behavior and will not be going here for a while or at all if that is the type of "woman" that are being...
Read moreZERO STARS! I highly recommend to shop at a different Anthropologie than the Chandler Mall location. Rude & Disrespectful Employees. All of us ladies have our 'roughn it' days- you know, those days you don't have the time to get or feel up to being your usual dressed up ready...you simply just throw your hair up, keep a fresh face, & slip on something comfy (dressed down) and call it a day. Well, that was my kind of day the first time I visited this Anthro location- and it'll be the LAST. From the moment I entered the store I sensed literally ALL employee eyes on me. Rather than a warm welcome and offer of assistance if needed, I was greeted by the question what I was specifically looking for. I was approached at least 9 times by the same 3 employees in a matter of no more than 15 minutes. Not only that but I felt watched and I know I was followed throughout the store. The worst part of it all was when I was asked if I'd like to have them hold onto my 1 shopping bag behind the counter. I left immediately after that. Never have I felt so uncomfortable in a store, my appearance gave the employees a preconceived opinion that I was there to steal, I didn't measure up and couldn't possibly afford to shop there. I drove home in tears. I've never had such a horrible experience at an Anthro...
Read moreAnthropologie is a unique shopping brand and experience. For the uninitiated, it's a combination of women's clothing, personal care products, and home items, all with a bohemian flair. Many of the items are sources from around the world, and most of it is quite unique.
Shopping here is not discount shopping. The items are great quality, unique style, and generally unavailable anywhere else. You pay for that kind of exclusivity.
This location is the one closest to my home, and the one I visit the most often. It's a good sized store with a wide variety of items. The staff is always helpful and friendly, but not in your face. The dressing room is interesting, too.
In the back corner, they have a sale room, and it's always worth checking out what's been marked down.
If you are looking for clothing, they don't do plus sizes. I'm not sure exactly the largest size they carry, but it's somewhere around 14 to 16. So if you are a bit larger than that, don't be discouraged. They have plenty of accessories, boots, jewelry and such that you can still get...
