Hello all! I wanted to post and tell you all about the experience I had at Elegant Nails in North Carolina. I’m so sorry Tammy that I took so long to write a review, but I am a woman of my word lol. So, I went to elegant nails during Memorial day weekend, on my visit to Charlotte, North Carolina. It was my first time in Charlotte and I didn’t really know what to expect from the nail salon, but I thought I’d be brave. I searched local nail salons and found Elegant Nails. I was inclined to visit based on the reviews and rating. Upon arrival, I was the second person but I noticed the staff wasn’t there yet. I was in a bit of a hurry because I had an event to go to by 12 noon. I wasn’t sure if anyone was coming in but the woman there before me assured me that they were coming and that they had good service. She was a regular, so I waited. About 10 minutes later, the owner showed up and unlocked the door. Shortly after, staff came in one after the other. I was second to be served. I needed three nail repairs, a fill-in, a pedicure and eyebrows waxed. I wasn’t sure how long it was gonna take but I needed it. As I waited patiently, the water was prepared for my pedicure. I chose an olive spa pedicure. Simultaneously, the manager of the nail salon walked in and greets me very warmly. I remember thinking to myself; I wonder if she’s the manager or the owner? I discovered that she was the manager and her name was Tammy. I told her I would never forget her name because that is my mother’s name lol . She was very helpful. She was very kind. She was very professional and she was very patient. I loved her spirit and I would come back to her anytime. Tammy asked me what I was getting done and I told her that I may or may not have enough time. I noticed everyone moved steady and they took their time. I wasn’t used to that because I’m from New Jersey where everybody is in a hurry all the time. I remember getting a bit impatient, but I reminded myself that they do different things here and everything is going to be fine; it was! I can honestly say that Tammy made sure of that. I remember asking her if she could do a specific design for me because I was used to having a design on every nail. She told me she couldn’t do specific designs, but certain ones she could do depending on what it was. So we compromised. I’m so glad that we did. I was very satisfied with the way my nails looked and the experience I had. Shout out to Mai!! She did my pedicure. She was very nice as well. She wore glasses and she smiled a lot. I remember that day being so relaxing. I felt like I was in a Day Spa. They gave their customers beverages and even wine if you wanted it. They were so friendly and kind. They made me feel safe and comfortable. Due to my first visit being a great one, I vowed to Tammy whenever I’m in the area, I will always come to visit her. This nail visit was the highlight of my trip. Please come and visit Elegant Nails if you’re ever in Charlotte, North Carolina. You won’t be disappointed....
Read moreI have been to Elegant Nails a few times now. The first pedicure I went for about a month ago was AMAZING!! She took her time and I left with my feet looking and feeling so refreshed. The second time I went with my daughter to get our nails done. Mine came out fine. Hers on the other hand were not what she wanted. She asked for stiletto nails. She left with square. She told her nail tech twice she wanted stiletto shaped nails. Her nails were pretty, but you should get what you want, not what they want to give you. The resin for the 1 star was because when I went for a pedicure today, it was the worst one I have ever had in my life. They were BUSY, and I work in the service industry, so I am very understanding of that. I arrived at 3:25 and was told it would be an hour wait. I was fine with that. Went in my car and played on my phone for an hour. Went back inside and was seated in a chair. The guy put a liner in the bowl and put the same jet in there that was sitting in the bowl when I arrived. They usually go get a cleaned and sanitized one when I go. I sat there for another hour soaking my feet. When she got to me, I told her I had gel polish on my toes that needed to be removed. She left and went to another customer. The man working there came and put cotton on my toes, poured acetone on my feet and put sheets of foil on my toes. I know that’s protocol, but it wAs left for 20 minutes. When she came back I asked her to take it off because it was burning. On to the actual pedicure. She didn’t do all the steps of a pedicure. I received about a minute and a half of the scrub, that accounts for both feet and the massage was literally 2.5 minutes. She painted and sent me on my way. I paid the “discounted” $35 and tipped, but I left there feeling like I was just ripped off. I really am not one to complain and I understand that they were short staffed and VERY busy, but at some point they have to tell people they are booked. Would they not rather have people leave there happy than to accommodate people and give them bad services? I would have rather them told me to come back tomorrow than to tell me that they could provide services if I would have gotten an actual pedicure. I really want VERY...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the service I received—by far the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had. The entire appointment felt like a game of musical chairs, with employees constantly switching from one customer to another. One technician started my pedicure, stopped halfway through, and left to begin someone else’s service. Another person came over to do my manicure—no soaking, no proper prep, no massage—just a rushed, dry, sloppy manicure. Later, yet another employee came to finish my pedicure but couldn’t even find the polish I had originally chosen, and again, no massage was offered.
My daughter’s experience was just as bad. She specifically asked for a French tip on her toes with red polish on her nails. Instead, she ended up with solid red toenails and no polish at all on her fingernails. Between the two of us, we were “worked on” by six different employees, none of whom completed the service properly.
To make matters worse, they actually asked us to tip via Venmo—yet we had no idea who we were supposed to tip since so many different people jumped in and out of our services.
If I could give less than one...
