I order frequently from Macy's. Love it! About one month ago I bagged up a few dresses I had to return. My Husband returned these for me. Who ever helped him did a good job. I sent my items label with the return. She went through and marked and initialed each item that was returned. When I received my statement I noticed one of the dresses returned was not credited on my statement.
Today we went to Macys in SouthPark Mall in Charlotte to return a necklace. I remembered my tickets and information on that dress so i brought it to Macy's. After I returned my necklace I asked the Saleslady if she could look up to see if this was credited to my account. I handed her all my tickets. She said she couldn't but she would have a manager to help me in just a moment. A lady walked up to the counter where we were standing and I looked at her then looked away. She had on a shoulder pocketbook and some items in her hands so I thought she was a shopper. I turned back to the Saleslady and she said this is the Manager. She might have been a Manager but she was obviously on her way out. I had to ask her name, she did not offer it. It is Rebecca. I showed Manager Rebecca my tickets and what was supposed to be credited. She interrupted me and said this receipt of return is from the Macy's at North Lake Mall and I would need to go there for help. I said I order by phone and we were here for another reason and all I wanted you to do is look up and see if this item was ever credited to my account because a credit for it never showed on my statement. She said again I would have to go to Northlake for help, she couldn't help me since the return was made at Northlake. I asked again can't you look up on my account and see if it was credited, that's all I'm asking. Manager Rebecca said No I would have to take my receipts to Northlake Mall and she could not help me. Then Manager Rebecca turned away from us and began to talk to the Saleslady. I have never in all my years of heavy shopping had anyone turn and ignore me before the conversation was finished, even in unpleasant conversation at any store. My Husband and I had not much choice but to walk away. My Husband said I see why you stopped shopping at the mall and started ordering everything..
I'm very shocked to have someone be so rude to me that works for Macy's at South Park Mall. I for one had not noticed my Husband had returned the items to Northlake mall. Why she was short with me i'll never know. It was obvious she was in a hurry doing or going to do something. She did not have to be ugly and rude to hurry us out. Just because I asked her to look up my account to check if a dress had been credited is no reason to treat us the way she did. I'm sure something must have been going on that was more a priority, but you don't treat others the way she treated us. I'd rather her said i can't talk now I'll get someone else to help you. That would be much easier to except rather than her being so Disrespectful. Frankly, I don't understand why the Saleslady couldn't have taken care of it to start with.

I can only hope for the day they are replaced by robots because talking to a brick wall is more pleasurable than dealing with them. I tried to return a facial cleanser that didn't have a barcode nor did it come in a box with a barcode. The vendor working the counter couldn't understand how a $30 item didn't have a barcode and insisted that it was a free sample and that she would "just keep it" without issuing a refund. I had the receipt, the order number, and the Macy's card the item was purchased with, and nothing could convince her it wasn't free. Eventually she told me she didn't know how to do a return without the barcode. I went onto the Macy's app and processed the return for an in-store drop off while she watched. I provided her both the return barcode and the return transaction number and she still couldn't figure out how to use them. I asked for a manager and she flagged down an actual Macy's employee, but still not a manager. The employee told me that because there was no barcode it had to be part of a gift set, and that I would need to return the entire set for a refund. I again showed this employee the order page showing the item and the fact that it wasn't part of a gift set. She said she would find a manager because clearly she wasn't one. After waiting 15 minutes for the manager I gave up and went to find someone who cared about their customers. I found another vendor who was actually helpful, located the manager, and sent me towards him. He had a line of people asking for shoes to try on. I waited for him to finish with his customer and said I had been waiting for him for 30 minutes at that point, could he please help. He told me he didn't care, get in line. After waiting in the 4th line he was able to do the return in less than 5 minutes using the Macy's card. I mentioned the poor experience with the vendor and employee and he couldn't care less. Read moreI wouldn't recommend Macy's credit card at all. I went to the store , when I was at the register to pay the cashier offer me the Macy's credit card, I accepted and put all my info in the system and was approved but I pay cash for that transaction and guess what? The cashier charged the purchase at the credit card for which I applied that day. I didn't know that until I got an alert from my credit karma letting me know that my credit score went down 50 points because I have a past due balance on my Macy's credit card. I went to the store to put a complain and also called many times customer service , they always open an investigation and then closed that investigation because I don't have the receipt to prove them that I pay cash. This is pissing me off because they want to charge me twice. What I'm requesting from them is to check the video camera because that's the only way they can see that I pay cash. I spoke to the manager today and he says that presidency office is going to check the cameras tomorrow and they will reach me out. They are taking so long to resolve this issue and it's already affecting my credit score. Probably I'll end up filling a complain at the courthouse because what they're doing is stealing money...
