Please read this review about Blue Nile or you may miss out on amazing experience and the diamond ring of your dreams. At first I thought blue Nile was just another online jewelry company, but to say I was wrong would be an understatement. I did use the website which allows you to pick your diamond either lab grown or natural and pick your setting as well as customize. I picked a Lab grown diamond 1.76 carat princess cut and chose a beautiful setting. You can track the Ringâs progress online which is super cool. This jewelry company is the real deal once you pick your diamond, itâs yours because obviously each is unique with the lab grown or natural. Blue Nile also affords the buyer all the education regarding diamonds and I was able to easily learn what was important factors to consider when buying a diamond I chose a larger stone with a lighter setting. Long gone are the days of being able to afford a beautiful Diamond or choosing cubic zirconia, these lab grown diamonds are real with identical chemical composition as a natural diamond. Well, the ring came early and it was stunning! What I didnât know about Blue Nile, which set them apart from other online jewelers, is that they have showrooms that you can easily access and make an hour engagement ring consultation with their jewelers in person as well as a virtual visit. I wore the ring for a couple weeks, as blue Nile has a 30 day no hassle return policy. I loved the ring, but was longing for a round diamond, as my mother had left me her round diamond engagement ring but it was lost. I was also looking to maybe change the setting to one a bit heavier that would complement the round diamond. I booked an hour showroom consultation at South Park in Charlotte, North Carolina and was treated like a queen and made to feel so special by Desiree Maynes-the showroom manager, Charley Marquis-personal jeweler and Rojin Behroozmand-personal jeweler. They made buying the ring itâs own amazing experience and memory. I had such a great time picking my diamond and new setting. I was so excited and there were so much to see that I wound up being there for two hours instead of one, and never felt rushed. The atmosphere that Desiree, Charley and Rojin create for their customers is magical. I decided to bring the first ring back after my first consultation, as I was unsure of mailing it back and booked one more appointment to reaffirm my choices with Desiree and Charlie once again I was treated like a queen I hugged them because a simple thank you didnât seem enough. They asked me to please come back when I receive the new ring to show them and I definitely will. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Desiree, Charlie and Rojin! Blue Nile is blessed to have you!! You give a human touch combined with great technology to create a beautiful experience! I couldnât imagine ever going anywhere else. Blue...
Read moreI set up a virtual appointment via the Blue Nile website to search for my dream engagement ring. I had visited a few stores and was always interested in Blue Nile and the wide variety of options they had as well as the option to create your own custom ring. I set up an appointment and was set up with the wonderful Desiree Maynes. Not only did Desiree answer any and all of my questions but she also followed up with me on other questions I had post our appointment. Her knowledge and expertise made my virtual experience more personable than any experience I had in person at other jewelry store. She saw my vision and make sure I saw everything I was interested in seeing in terms of settings and even showed me wedding band options and how they would lay with the settings options I was interested in. This truly was a unique but extremely personalized experience which I was not anticipating going into a virtual appointment. My boyfriend and I will definitely be finalizing the details of my ring together with Blue Nile and Desiree.
Update March 2025: My original Blue Nile experience began with Desiree however, she ended up leaving and Ruth graciously reached out to me to continue my dream ring journey. Ruth not only picked up where Desiree left off but made sure the personal shopping experience was still there. She truly went above and beyond to help me create my custom ring. I was really set on customizing my ring in a cathedral setting with platinum prongs and Ruth made sure the vendors that Blue Nile got back to her in a timely manner. With a virtual experience it can easily feel like you are forgotten about or that you are just a face behind a screen. Ruth made me feel as though I was in communication with a friend following up, giving advice, and ensuring me that my vision would come to life. My fiancé ordered the ring and just proposed this past weekend and Ruth was right. All the emails and back and forth for customization did not disappoint! I am absolutely stunned! My ring exceeded my wildest dreams and expectations. I cannot say thank you enough for your patience and...
Read moreI just want to start by saying I am a very sweet person off the bat when coming into a place of business BUT with that being said, I had an extremely awful and hostile experience with an associate named Jenifer. From the beginning she was very argumentative and combative
EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Totally ruined the experience most girls look forward to when ring shopping. Do not recommend this place for anyone excited !!!
Me and my friends came in to look at engagement rings just in passing of the store. When walking in, there was 2 ladies sitting at a table on a laptop having a conversation. My friends and I started to look around at the options and Jenifer came up to us. With no greeting, she came up and demanded our names and what we were doing here. We explained and one of my friends and I were wanting to just get ideas of what we like.
She asked if Iâve looked at any other stores or tried on rings before. I said yes and told her what I like. She brought out a different style of ring that I like and did not ask what type of color I was thinking. When she asked me to try it on, I put it on and looked at my friend, which she then said âit was too smallâ to which JENIFER snapped at my friend and said âIM NOT TALKING TO YOU, I AM TALKING TO SAVANNA. WE ARENT TALKING ABOUT SIZE, JUST STYLEâ and we all were shocked.
I then looked at the diamond (which I did not find any I really liked bc they all look fake. No shine or sparkle. Almost dirty) and said âit looks dirty, I donât think itâ to which she said something trying to make me stay around. At this point I felt very uncomfortable and was ready to leave before I embarrassed myself. My friends tried to plan it off as if I was overwhelmed and trying to leave the store to which she said âwell you donât have to try any on but you NEED to go to the back and lookâ and I said no thank you, I am catching an attitude and do not feel welcomedâ she then DEMANDED my friend to drag me to the back and look and I said NO we are LEAVING and left.
Felt...
