Underwood Flowers & Gifts — Attraction in Cheyenne

I don't even now where to begin after my experience with them yesterday and today. I am in town for my Grandmother's funeral and my mom and I ordered flowers from the funerals homes website and it was sent to Underwood. My Grandpa ordered directly through Underwood. Both orders were requested to be delivered prior to the viewing. Underwood changed our delivery date, to the day of the funeral when we said we wanted them there for the viewing. This change was sent in an email, no phone call was made and we were traveling and my mom did not see the email. The flowers for the casket that my Grandpa ordered were supposed to be at the viewing also. She call him the morning of and rudely said she can't get them there but they will be there in time for the services tomorrow. He got upset and said they better be there. When our flowers finally showed for the viewing 5.5 hours late. The flowers were not comparable to what was ordered and paid for. They said they could not get some of the flowers and they did the best they could. The morning of the funeral, we stopped by to look at the picture of what my Grandpa ordered as he was a little upset and to discuss our flower ordered. They were immediately on the defensive side and the owner Diane was completely rude. Knowing the situation our family was going through and has known my grandparents for years, from using their services raised her voice and rudely told us to deal with the funeral home and the sympathy store we ordered from. I was trying to explain why we were so unhappy but she would not listen and only blamed everyone else. I was not going to argue with this lady and said thank you and walked out. Went to this flower shop on Valentine’s Day for my pregnant wife and her students she teaches at the def and blind school. I had gone in to order about 800$ worth of flowers and gifts. I waited in line just like everyone else and had already selected what I wanted. By the time I got to the cash register I asked the girl about some flower options. She immediately told me she does not speak Spanish and that she needs to help the other Caucasian customers behind me first. I told her I just wanted to buy flowers for my wife and her students and she said she couldn’t help me and ignored me and helped the gentleman behind me who was disgusted with the way she treated me. I am hispanic and don’t even speak Spanish. I was very polite and don’t see why she chose to discriminate against the color of my skin. It turned what was supposed to be a great day into a reminder of how far back we have gone. If you are Hispanic or any other minority do not go here they will treat you as a second class citizen. I went to La Florist right around the corner and they helped me immediately without hesitation I even gave the nice lady a 100$ tip for being so good to us. Far from what the young girl who looked like she was in high school with dark hair and highlights treated me. I will never set foot in this place again and I suggest you take your business elsewhere if you support equality.

I live out of state and needed sympathy flowers sent to my mom same day. I called and spoke to a very pleasant woman and explained the circumstance knowing that it was last minute and did not expect a same day delivery. The lady I spoke to was very kind and caring and told me that they would be able to deliver flowers that day. The flowers that my mom received far exceeded my expectations! They are fresh, very fragrant and the arrangement was beautiful! My mom was not home when the delivery driver got there so she called my mom. My mom asked the driver to leave them on the porch. The driver took the time to wrap the flowers in a bag to protect them. I really appreciate all the staff at Underwood floral. The flowers really brightened my moms day. I have never ordered directly from florist when I send my mom flowers, I use FTD but for now on I will be contacting Underwood floral to do my moms arrangements. I highly recommend...
