DO NOT SHOP HERE: Zero Stars I encountered a rude owner that displayed signs of racism.
Often times shop at this store because they have trendy up-to-date pieces that I can easily incorporate into my wardrobe. A bit over price, but it is in the area and conducive for me. On August 23, at about 5:00pm, I came to this store to find a shirt to wear. Once I was done picking out my item, I proceeded to the earring section which were locked, adjacent to the register. An older Asian woman opened the lock for me and I pointed to her which earrings I wanted. It was multiple size options, and I didnāt want the earrings too big, but it was no mirror next to the earrings. I asked the woman, āMay I take these to the mirror? Iāll like to place them by my ear just to see the sizingā. The mirror was literally no more than 3.5 ft away from the cash register. She didnāt say anything to me, but pointed to the male Asian behind the counter who I believe is the owner and took the earrings with her behind the counter. Still calm, I asked him the same question. At this point, he could clearly see me and the earrings if I was to walk to the mirror. When I asked again, he ignored me and continued to ring up my other items. I then asked him again and he said āNo, you must buy the earrings first before you can walk to the mirror to look at themā. At that moment, I told him no thank you, didnāt purchase my shirt or the earrings. I felt discriminated against and feelings were hurt. I shop here often, and I wouldnāt steal. I was closer to the cash register and the mirror than the door to dash out, so Iām not sure why he was so rude. Maybe he has experience this issue before, but it is a certain way to be pleasant and have good customer service. He couldāve not ignored me the first time and nicely stated āMaāam unfortunately I donāt allow customers to do this, but Iāll walk with you to the mirrorā or something where it would be a win/win situation for us both and I wouldnāt feel like I was being held accountable for whatever encounters he held previously or a feeling of racism. Although I love this place, I will NEVER...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a horrible experience at this store. I went here one evening to buy clothes to wear in Jamaica 2 days before my trip. My first time here and one woman helped me and was very pleasant when I was checking out I asked the cashier if I could return the items if they donāt fit and she said yes I had 5 days to get store credit. As I was leaving the store the alarm went off. The security at the door asked me to step away from the door, took my bag of purchased items and escorted me to the front of the store where he poured out my bag of purchased items only to discover that the the cashier forgot to take a security tag off. Once I arrived home I got a better look at the items, I couldnāt fit 2 of 4 items and 1 looked too cheaply made to wear in public. I returned to the store the next day to exchange the items and was told that I couldnāt return it or get store credit. The woman who helped me the previous day insisted that she told me this when helping me when she in fact only told me that one of the items I couldnāt return because it was a romper. Their store policy stated that I couldnāt return a romper or bra. I also tried to return a swimwear cover up which they told me was a romper and was not. I also tried to return a cheaply made metal/rhinestone shirt which was a back out and came down past the belly button on the mannequin in the store and they told me I couldnāt return it because it was a bra and it was not. I tried to reason with the security/store manager and he said the policy was in place because people wear the clothes to the club and try returning them smelling like cigarettes which evidently didnāt apply to me. He was not accommodating in the least. He also told me that I couldnāt speak to the storeās owner because itās not a corporation. Horrible customer service even worse quality of clothing . And I saw some of the items in their store at Akira later that night for a lot cheaper....

This store is for females who get discounted BBLs from the DR, Rapunzel colorful wigs, foot long nails and eyelashes and go on Kendra G show or on TikTok and brag about how you want a high value man to make 6 figures, be 6 feet tall and have a 6 pack abs while y'all living in section 8 homes, overweight and less than 5'7" at least with more than one baby daddies and take you to high end places like Ruth's Chris on the first date instead of a coffee shop trying to get to know the guy and him getting to know you. My 14yo daughter and I went in here a month ago to check it out and most of the clothes we saw in there were overpriced scripper and club clothes, not clothes that's appropriate for a teen unless she's 18. We went to Citi...
