Overall this is a nice quick 30-60 minute trip, but not worth $10 per person. If you are curious go during their free days or wait for non-special exhibit days. I felt like there was no introduction or even map of the gallery. I think if at the beginning they have a rundown of the gallery, history, and art that would be interesting and extremely helpful as you mainly have to figure it out on your own. Additionally I think the art should have placards explaining the backstory versus just the piece & title. Lastly, I found the curator slightly and unhelpful in that she herself hesitated when responding to our questions and seemed uncertain at times. If I were to spend my time appropriately, the second floor steals the show. It’s filled with vibrance and color- with great historical context. In some ways I wish I had seen it first. While this review is harsh, I have faith that this organization will improve and become a wonderful cultural safe space for south Asians.

Visiting the windy city and am glad i csme across this. Met the founders ... a wonderful couple who have really dedicated their retirement to the showcasing of modern south asian artisits. I hope this place continues to grow and gets appreciated by the locals and other across the continent. Highlight of my visit.

What a beautiful space, with a very welcoming team. Great lineup of events sharing South Asian history, art, music, poetry, and culture. They really share a wide range of perspectives and art forms. I viewed the exhibition by Amin Gulgee and it was amazing! I will be back for more exhibitions in future.

I visited the Paglees and Miniatures exhibit. Both were very impactful. I loved the mixed media approach and found each piece to have the perfect lighting as well as helpful descriptions. The staff are very warm and welcoming even though I am not South Asian. Chicago is very fortunate to have such a wonderful space to enjoy South Asian arts and culture. I am glad such a beautiful dream could be realized in a historic building (1911). Looking forward to future...

The space itself is somewhat of a hidden gem as it’s pretty low key. I stumbled upon it by accident honestly, and I’m glad I did. The owners were so delightful to chat with and their immersion in the South Asian Arts was infectious.

I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by and embrace the beauty of the spaces the entire team has curated, even if you’re not...
