$130 with tax to fix a32 screen. Took 15mins, staff was friendly. However I did find it odd that they have a tip prompt when paying . I mentioned I find it strange and staff responded by saying, " well I did labor for you, didn't I?" They were nice and all but I said, the labor is the cost of goods and is part of the final price. But you tip people who do labor for you. To which I responded, when i mucked stalls in my youth I didn't expect a tip for doing my job, I said different generation I guess. He said ya, it's 2025. Tips are not for labor, wages are, tips are for service and for sub minimal wage earners who make less than regular hourly and I'm shocked that everyone now thinks they should be tipped for doing their job. I told him if I went shopping and he brought my phone to me, id think about tipping. But he was friendly about the exchange but I got the I'm slightly offended by you questioning the reason I deserve tips vibe. Id still probably use their service again but certainly not tip despite the entire world thinking they deserve it. Its inside chino Walmart Supercenter, I should have asked him if he tips the janitorial staff for keeping his floors clean, because you know, it's labo that benefits you. Anyway just a difference in generational thinking I guess. I asked for raises, they ask for customers to subsidize their wages with tips.Anyway i always welcome friendly debate even if i disagree or get annoyed by it. And clearly the notion of tipping someone for replacing my screen...
Read moreI had a really frustrating experience here. I brought in my Pixel 3XL to get the battery replaced. The tech (Jonathan?) went to check if they had a replacement battery on hand and confirmed they did would be able to complete the repair within 2 hours. He completes a work order and prints me a receipt.
I go kill some time and come back to pick up my phone. Bad news. Another tech informs me that actually they in fact did not have the parts needed, since the 1st tech mistakenly thought I had a Pixel 3a XL.
They told me I could wait for a replacement battery to arrive (1 week ETA) or drive to the Fullerton location where they had a battery on hand. I drove to Fullerton to drop off my phone, but had to wait until the next day to pick it up since it was closing time by that point in the evening.
Huge waste of my afternoon, and I had to cancel plans I had made for the next day. There's no satisfying explanation for the mistake, other than Jonathan was simply moving too fast, wasn't paying attention to detail, or didn't know what he was talking about. I was very clear about the model I gave them, and it was reflected correctly on the printed receipt.
I was never offered a discount or something similar, just a fist bump for my troubles. If I wasted several hours of a customer's time, I would have done a little more to make it right. Bad initial interaction, and an underwhelming apology to...
Read moreI brought my PS5 to uBreakiFix in Chino Hills for repair. The console was running fine — no errors — but I had accidentally placed it in the wrong position (upside down), which caused it to overheat. At the time, I didn’t realize the overheating was due to incorrect placement.
They tested the unit and told me the power supply was faulty, and I agreed to the repair.
After picking it up, I placed the PS5 in the same incorrect position as before, and it overheated again. A friend pointed out that the problem wasn’t the hardware at all — it was simply due to how I positioned the console. Nothing was wrong with the power supply in the first place.
I went back to the store to ask about the diagnosis and the part they replaced. When I asked for the old power supply, they said they had recycled it — no proof, no transparency. I was charged $160 for a repair that clearly wasn’t needed.
I contacted the store manager but never received a reply. This was the most frustrating repair experience I’ve had. I feel scammed and completely let down.
I will never come back, and I strongly warn others to be cautious when dealing with...
