If you are planning on getting married and want it to be stress free don't have your reception here. I'm still bitter about this a couple years after my wedding. I wanted the big ball room for my wedding. There is a price minimum to have that room so I invited more people than I originally would have just so I could use that room. I booked my wedding a year and a half in advance. 4 weeks before my wedding YES FOUR WEEKS. They say they want me to come in and finalize things, when I get in there they told me they "accidentally" double booked that room for a corporate party and that I had to be bumped down to the smaller room and that I should be happy about it because it will be cheaper to decorate. So I told them I straight up wanted to cancel my wedding because I was that mad at them and they informed me that I signed a contract and it wasn't an option but that they were going to give me a free hand passed stuffed mushroom for my inconvenience .... Read moreI am currently at the EPIC womens Conference, and wow, it has been incredible! Aside from the conference itself, the restaurant/catering part of the convention I encountered a girl named Shannon. I came out and really "needed" a coffee during the conference, and the manager Shannon said sure no problem. I then found out that they were actually closed and had even put things away, but she made sure I got my coffee and never made me feel like I was a burden. She didn't even tell me they were closed, instead she got it with joy. That is the type of customer service that is memorable and truly so appreciated. The little things matter and trust me to this tired momma it mattered. Thank you so...
Read moreI've been to the convention center many times for events in many different rooms. I have yet to find a ladies bathroom that has an accessible stall. The bathrooms have ambulatory stalls (slightly wider stalls with grab bars on each wall), but no ADA compliant stalls that allow a wheelchair user to fit in the stall and transfer to the toilet. I cannot understand how this convention center doesn't have a single accessible stall. If they do have an ADA compliant bathroom somewhere, it's certainly well hidden and there are no signs directing disabled people to where they can actually use...
