First time here it's awesome not as crowded as St Pete was yesterday a little bit further for us coming in South from spring Hill Florida where we're staying with the drive I think it was almost 2 hours to get here but it truly is beautiful taking the overpass to get to this beach which is on the opposite side of where Clearwater Beach is is amazing beautiful here! Clean bathrooms Parking is great only $5 a day for the park including the beach. A food truck right behind the bathrooms on the beach. Definitely not very crowded but just right. Sand is white not as sticky as some beaches does have shells in it but it's perfect! That is hot either because the wind from the gulf! There's a stretch where there aren't any hotels right directly behind the beach area and so there's some green brush and bushes and stuff it's very nice, but on the other ends it's also nice where you can see the amazing hotel accommodations and resorts. Another great feature is there's a public library 5 minutes from here with free public Wi-Fi very friendly staff welcomed us we had some work to do in between beaching!! Definitely a new...
Read moreGreat beach Environment! Nice white sand, water was cold when we visited for the first time in Dec 31st. We celebrated New Year's Eve here. We waited for the fireworks display, that were amazing & great! There is always something going on or something to do around Pier 60. There's a playground for kids to enjoy, there are small "adrenaline worthy" games for kids to get a chance at such as obstacle course, bouncers, inflatable slides, bungee trampoline sort of game, all and more ofcourse with a fee. There's an ice cream/store with restrooms right by the playground. Also the playground has water stations and sand for kids to play in when sunny ☀️ There's a beautiful board walk full of sellers, at the end of the board walk there's a restaurant to enjoy while viewing the open water and sunsets. Great area...
Read moreThis beautiful park was a 15 minute drive up Gulf Blvd from our home base at the Cambria hotel Madeira Beach. Ample wash stations, bathrooms and a gorgeous dune prairie trail to the beach where the waters were the clearest we've experienced (not much seaweed or heavy shells to step on before getting in the water). The water wasn't warm, but adjacent - very comfortable temp. They had ample beach tent/chair rentals available, although we brought our own. Loved the yellow baskets for keeping the beach free of trash. Dolphins (we hope that is what they were) were swimming very close to the shore though so we had to get out of the water...
