Hands down one of my top 10 favorite places to eat. This location is better than the rest, sorry to the other locations. This one gives yall a run for your money. On our most recent visit you guys touched my family's heart's a little more than usual and I've gotta come here to say Thank you one more time! At zero fault to Taco Bus, I tried carrying my food to the outdoor seating area. As I passed through the door my sons tacos dropped. I picked as much up as I could and then went to inform the staff as it was directly in front of the entrance. A guy had a broom and dust pan and was already on his way to sweep before I could finish explaining what happened. That's efficiency if I've ever seen it. Then went above and beyond to make my life less stressful, and kindly offered to remake it without me even asking. As I went to the bathroom to wash up, I cried. You don't see kindness like that everywhere. I was truly embarrassed when I dropped my kids food in a restaurant full of people. Thank you for making that moment easier. It means everything to me. If you've read this far, this location tops the tier by serving FROZEN MARGARITAS. Yes you read that right, frozen margaritas. And they are DELICIOUS!! We do tend to come for the empanadas which are out of this world amazing but we also love the tacos! If you've never given taco bus a try, this is your sign. If you're hungry and don't know what to eat, Taco bus is the answer. Plus, the beach is their...
Read moreI visited Taco Bus on Clearwater Beach and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The manager was having loud conversations about his personal life right in front of customers, which felt incredibly unprofessional. I'm visiting from California and didn’t come all this way on vacation to overhear such personal topics while trying to enjoy a meal.
Additionally, I noticed several health code concerns: some employees weren’t wearing gloves when handling food, and many weren’t wearing hair nets. For a well-known restaurant in such a busy tourist area, I expected better compliance with basic health and safety standards.
I had already paid for my meal before realizing these issues. I ordered steak, but it was extremely tough and nearly inedible. Although the staff seemed hardworking, the unprofessional behavior stood out—especially a conversation with a short white female employee with multiple tattoos. She was openly discussing very personal matters, including CPS and her children, which should never be happening in front of customers.
I wish I had caught their names, but in the end, I threw my food away and left. I won’t...
Read moreUpdate! Now four stars! Ate here on Taco Tuesday and had a delicious meal and a frozen margarita. Very friendly and helpful staff! The tacos are giant, we were assuming on $2 taco night that they'd be smaller, but no! Shredded cabbage is used instead of shredded lettuce, which is a good move by Taco Bus. Have you ever lifted a Taco Bell taco up to your mouth to take a bite and gotten a whiff of sour lettuce? GROSS! But not here. Tip: Use the salsa from the station that offers red or green to add extra flavor. The ground beef and chipotle chicken tacos were the best of the four we tried. So something has clearly improved since our last visit. Thanks Taco Bus! I should have taken the photo before I started eating but I was hungry.
Nov. 2020 It was okay. The sign saying $5 margaritas drew us in, we've never been in nor heard of Taco Bus before. I ordered a chicken quesadilla with chipotle chicken, and it was the strangest chicken I've ever seen. It was gray-ish, I seriously thought I'd gotten pork by mistake. Not sure I'd eat that again. On the positive side, the chips must be made fresh on-site, they...
