Let me tell you about my experience at this restaurant and tell you I don't normally leave bad reviews because I work in customer service and I tried to give this restaurant a fair chance. First of all we sat down at 6:30 on Mother's day and ordered drinks then about 5-10mins later ordered our main course our waiters name was Joshua. It was about 7:05 which was about 25min after we placed our order i was thinking ok maybe there busy but as I look around there was multiple tables that were empty and customers that sat 20mins after us already received there food I let another 10 pass finally I asked Joshua what was going on with our food other people sat after us have received our food his response was well they ordered cheeseburger and you ordered steak and they are cooking your steak to perfections I am trying my best. That was the worst response you could give a customer that has waited almost 40 mins for a 7oz Steak. He told me he would go check on it another 10 minutes went by and watching him check on multiple other tables before I received another response of they are plating our food as we speak finally at 7:45 we received our food and let me tell you and I am not exaggerating on how this food looked and mind you my mother ordered the same 7oz steak as me but cook medium well which means a light pink middle it was burnt and for this restaurant having a head chef that should be looking at the presentation of his food because this is not your normal chain style restaurant it was a burnt slab of meat that was burnt and dry as a bone. We spoke with the manager and he said he would make a new one but God at this point we wouldn't want to sit there for another hour for a steak to be prepared again as everyone else is eating I was so embarrassed that I brought my mother on mothers day to this restaurant that I thought and read reviews that it was going to be amazing and she has no food and eating just a plate of asparagus for dinner and the manager had no empathy towards our situation man working for a huge company myself and managing customer complaints on a daily basis if I were to respond like that let me tell you I don't know if I would be employed. All in all after I asked Joshua for A-1 sauce so I could at least have something to soften the dry steak that I was about to eat that also took 15minutes to received so by the time I got that the steak was cold and no longer was appetizing so I ask for a box and the bill to call this one hell of a night to an end. Joshua brought me the box and bill but I wanted to end this awkward transaction so I took the bill up to the bar to pay and as soon as Joshua saw me instead of immediately turning the other way and hiding in the kitchen would have been nice to get greeted by him to get my change to end this transaction instead had to go up to the hostess booth to ask to pay for my check. Joshua thank you for making mother day a embarrassment and horrible day I hope you enjoy the 15% I chose to tip you because I feel for tipped based waged employees and as I said I work in the customer service...

The Lobster Ragoon Empanadas were to die for...As was the rest of our meal! The Lobster Cannelloni was mouthwatering and my New York Strip was so flavorful! Do not miss the Macaroni Au Gratin. It was my absolutely my favorite dish that we sampled. Toped off with Reeses Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie...Fabulous! Joey (Jose) our server made us feel right at home and everyone was so friendly! Brittany the Bar Manager was spot on in her observation of how things were going on this first night opening and her bar/resturant resume, is super impressive. She sounds like the perfect person to add to the magic that the Cove + Kitchen offers! We felt pampered and enjoyed every minute in the new "Hot Spot" on Clearwater Beach! Read moreMy daughter, grandson and I enjoyed an absolutely fabulous evening on March 19, their first night of re-opening for dinners. The restaurant is just a couple of doors away from our hotel, we saw the sign and decided to give it a try as we were walking to find a place to eat. I ordered the pork belly, my daughter ordered the crab filled empanadas, and 12 year old grandson ordered the double burger. The staff was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. The hostesses greeted us and sat us immediately at a table near the door leading to the outdoor dining deck, which had awesome views of the beach and evening sky. The first waiter took our drink order and then our waitress, I'm terrible at getting names, but I think her name is Aldina, took our dinner order. Everything arrived hot and was presented/plated beautifully. We each had a taste of each other's food and the meals were perfectly done! In addition we were able to get outside to view the spectacular sunset immediately after enjoying this culinary delight.
