Please read full review prior to purchasing through appliance factory. I have been very happy with Appliance Factory and the stuff i bought through them. The sales teams have always been great!! I can not stress that enough. But I bought a washer, dryer and fridge from them. The prices were right the sales team was awesome. The problem is the extended warranty. My dryer has had issues since I bought it. They have come out and fixed it under the original manufactory warranty with no issues. My dryer is almost 4 years old and now going out. Time for the extended warranty to come in. They denied my claim. Now lets start with the reason for the one star review. When I called the extended warranty company (product protection plus) to ask why it was denied. I spoke with the worst person I have ever spoken with in my life. She was rude. An immediate attitude the second she picked up the phone. I asked why was my claim denied when it is still under warranty. She told me to read my terms and conditions. She stated she can decline any warranty items she wants. She said the dryer is 4 years old and even with the warranty it SHE will not cover the repairs. Due to her attitude and unwillingness to help find a solution to the problem. I asked for a manager or supervisor. She told me. There are none, she is the only one that works for the company. She owns and operates it for all of Colorado and two other states. She then told me that the things on the dryer going out are normal wear and tear and they will not be covered. I asked for a list of items to be emailed to me. So I can contact the Maytag and ask if these were normal wear and tear. She told me she would not send me anything. And that her telling me it would not be covered verbally was enough. I said so you are saying you are denying to send me any information to include my service contract via email. She said she was not denying sending it. But she refused and stated again her verbally telling me this was enough. I called brand source and appliance factory to see if I had any room for recourse. I was told no. If that is what the 3rd party warranty company said then it is up to them. I asked to have my contract sent to a different warranty company. I was told they can not do it. I informed both brand source and appliance factory of what occurred over the phone. With what seems to be little to no care. It should be noted you can pull up the warranty company through BBB, yelp, google, ETC. and see nothing but one star and a multitude of complaints from this warranty company. I ask and implore anyone that is buying from appliance factory to not waste your money on this vendor for an extended warranty. The company name is product protection plus. And if that is the only company that is offered I would find your appliance somewhere else. I would love to hear back from Appliance Factory on a fix or assistance with these issues. The short term saving and spending extra on a warranty that you can not use. May not be worth it. One last time. product protection plus is nothing more then a scam. Read moreIf we could post 0 stars we would. We're so sorry we decided to to do business with this company. Bought very light 'grade B" scratch and dent W&D. Have purchased scratch &, dent in the oast from a different compnay and had good luck. We now have lemons for a washer and dryer. Washer throws error codes after 2nd load of washing. Dryer has hideous sound of metal scraping on metal with metal shavings coming out with our laundry. It is so loud you can hear it from outise our house- dont try and speak toanother person amywhere near it. They won't return or exchange. We were totally unaware of their supossed company policy to come out and waste our time o brand new just scratched slightly machines to try to "fix' them at least 3 times before they will even consider an exchange. They have junk and they know it. Why else this policy and not just allow us to get our 1500+ money back ir just exchange it fornaomething whoch works properlyafter spensing all that money? And you should realize the savings of scarrch and dent here vs new- literally 124 bucks now we have this to deal whith on top of our busy lives- fun! Clearly their reviews cannot be trusted as I read them before walking into this wretched store. Don't buy here. We are sorry we did amd hope we can spare anyone else this terrible customer service, money and time wasting experience. They lost out on a lot of additional business they could have had from us and our extended family, clients and friends. It's sad that we made this mistake. We are normally very savvy shoppers- and its not just about the money- its the poor customer service and run around weve had tonout up with aince we were stupid enough to do business here. No sales perosn in the store knows whats going on- its a different story every day with each person you speak with. High emplyee trun around must be an issue here wich translates to the poor customer experience. The type of clientele in this store should have been a large hint and we should have just turned around and walked straight back out. Dooped. Lesson learned. I hope this helps someone not make the same mistake. If they didn't have a team of folks leaving fake positive reviews I'm sure their ratings could not be this high. No way are we unique in our experience with this shoddy company.
**Update: while our experience here was stressful and after MUCH back and forth and constantly calling and reaching out on our part, the company decided to finally exchange our lemons for new editions. Read moreBe very careful when purchasing from this location. I purchased here during the quarantine, and with many businesses shut down I wanted to give a local company the business. I worked with Chad over the phone who is personable, but not well trained in how to do sales and any decisions had to be coordinated with someone else in the store. Initially we asked for quote on a Queen Dreamcloud Bed, and asked if they met the same deal as what was available online thru the Dreamcloud website. I was assured yes, that they will offer the same deal. We changed our mind and received a quote for a King (2 Twin XL beds) with adjustable base with a cost of just over $3000. In that quote it included a higher end set of pillows and sheets and we agreed to the quote. Then almost a month passed and we finally received the bed without Pillows or Sheets. The day the bed arrived, we recieved no sheets or pillows. Sheets were critical, because we did not have the size in our house, so thankfully I had planned ahead and ordered a cheap set of sheets to use the first night on our nice bed. I made 2 trips to the store to try and work things out and was assured the pillows and sheets would arrive, but they are the cheaper Pillows from what was on the quote. Turns out when I made the purchase, they changed the quote without letting me know to give us a cheaper set of sheets and pillows so they could make more of a profit on the deal. The invoice subsequently contained the cheaper items so it appeared the store was shorting me what was agreed to on the quote. Lonnie (the Manager) did not seem to understand that once a quote is agreed to, that the items should not be changed without letting the customer know. We now received our sheets and pillows but we felt I had to provide more oversight of the complete process than I should have had to do. My advice to anyone who purchases from this location is to be very careful when ordering and receiving your product to ensure you receive the exact items you expect. Additionally the Guarantee that this location requires you to sign for Beds, including the Dreamcloud is more restrictive that the one offered from Dreamcloud company itself. The local warranty does not allow for a money back guarantee if you are not happy with the bed. It only allows an exchange for another mattress from Appliance Factory Warehouse and no $ back. My wife and I are happy with our bed purchase and do not plan to return it, but future customers need to be aware of this restriction.
