We were invited by friends to attend Cosmo's "Out of your Mind" show this past Saturday night. Located in a strip mall, from the outside it looks like a very small place. BUT once you go in, it's a totally different look and feel. It's set up quite like a hotel lounge from the early 1900s. Every inch of every wall is covered with an old magician poster, a caricature of a famous magician, and lots and lots of memorabilia. There are several chairs and sofas to sit on with free cookies and coffee, tea, or soda for a small donation. Cosmo's wife of 31 years is the first person you meet when you enter and she is very nice and pleasant. She checks you in by name, you don't need a ticket or none are scanned. And then you wait in the lounge until showtime. There are at least three to four sitting areas and one bathroom. The theater accommodates 48 people; four rows of 12. The first row, if you are so lucky, is the most interacted with, but Cosmo does involve a lot of the audience in his act. Also Cosmo is very personable and quite witty and funny. Before the show, he tries to make contact with everyone and chats with them. The show is two hours long with a brief intermission. The act is clever and he is a really good magician. He had us fooled several times and even teaches the audience simple tricks. It's a great show for the entire family. I just wish there were more tricks. He pretty much tells you his whole life story and all of the people he knows. Most of his magic was based on...
Read moreCame here for the kid's show on Sat 6/10/23 with my 4YO. Absolutely worth every second, Mr. Cosmo & his wife are so pleasant ♥️ my little one was scared because he's never been to a live show before, but he saw other kids interacting so this opened up his personality. He soaked in everything 😂 even the knotted rope and dollar under the pillow bit... he wanted his own knot so I made him one, I told him to hurry up and sleep so the magician can take it and give him his dollar. He thinks Mr. Cosmo is from another universe and travels in a spaceship which explains why he can do magic. He also thinks that Mr. Cosmo is absorbing the water from everywhere including the air which is why the water from Jupiter jug keeps coming back. He's so baffled, I love it.
My little one Did get to participate and I really think it has made his year. The two 4 year olds that participated (mine and another lady's) was my favorite, everything about it was way too cute.
😍 The interior's decor is so detailed, you walk in and it feels like a cozy home. Very unexpected from the outside.
Get here early, parking is limited, it's at an easy access area and theatre can be found without any issues.
Thank you for everything you both do, I'm glad Colorado has this especially the show times...
