I understand & comply with the need for security as much as the next person. However, when you force me to either dump out or throw away a brand new UNOPENED Bottle of water, I draw the line. Many people have dietary restrictions, financial restrictions & medical conditions that make them have to have water at all times; so to force someone to not have access to their water is inhumane. Not everyone has the $10 necessary to purchase water from the concession stand, so to just arbitrarily decide and force people to throw away their water and purchase one is not Professional or Considerate. If I could have done zero stars, I would have.... Also, my daughters & I were making our way to our seats (there is absolutely, positively not a shred of space to move along aisles of seats that already have people sitting in them) we climbed down several rows in order to make our way over to where we were wanting to sit & we were SCREAMED @ SEVERAL times that the row we were heading to, in order to cut across, was reserved. 1st) I can Read 2nd) My Daughter's can read 3rd) Did you see me or my daughters even attempt to sit in the reserved seats? NO! Then don't make assumptions.... Next, if you are challenged in either height, stature, size, or have any type of disability this is not the Venue for you, the seat sizes, row sizes and accommodations for those with disabilities is beyond deplorable. And last but not least, if you don't mind feeling like a sardine and don't mind cramped, uncomfortable quarters, then this is the...
Read moreAll the time stuff: You got to be well prepared to visit this place. If you can get dropped off rather than get involved in the parking mess, do so. Just have ride ready afterwards because they immediately kick everyone out of the building as soon as an event ends. If you need water bring a squished empty bottle in your pocket to fill at the water fountain. Water is overpriced and they keep the lid. Don't bring a purse, they are strict about bag sizes. Just wear pockets. If you are tall or thick you will be squished in your seat/standing area. The seats are tiny, the seating is more steep than any other arena I've ever been in. They say "no smoking" but they don't enforce this so people squished next to you may very well be smoking cigarettes. Tool show Jan 2022 stuff: Tool was great. But... there were NO covid precautions in place. No proof of vaccine, no neg test, no masks, and packed to full capacity. Did I mention how close together everyone is in the tiny steep seating? In Sterling Archer's voice: "Do you want covid? Because that's how you get covid." Glad I'm vaccinated. Tool does not allow filming during a show. There were signs everywhere about "no filming" and the no filming/picture rule was announced over the arena loudspeakers Multiple Times. The reviewer that got kicked out for filming is full of poop. They ignored the warnings. Maybe they assumed security wouldn't enforce that rule sine they seems to pick and choose what rules to enforce and whom they enforce them on. I saw Plenty of...
Read moreA fancy place, super expensive to be treated like royalty. I called to find information about a conference and discovered that their concierge service has multiple options to complain about your service from if you’re food didn’t meet your standards, your room, an employee, the way they parked your car or if you just have a need to whine. I wondered if they host whining conferences. Personally I’m not interested being in a castle and ordering people around or complaining about them. It’s just not me. I’ll stay at a youth hostel and sing koombaya around the campfire while I share my marshmallows, chocolate bars and graham crackers, as long as nobody is smoking. All I asked was about shuttle services back and forth to the convention from downtown. Only for guests at $500.00. A lovely way to treat people. Very welcoming. But if high society is your style, be sure to book your reservation 6 months in advance. Seriously, if you are so needy, stay home! Funny though. Actually there’s a free shuttle service to the conference center, picking up and returning from all the nearby hotels. Something a concierge should know. Look it up, free shuttle service, or ask at your hotel desk. You must have a badge from the conference to board. If you don’t have a car, and need to return to Denver, take an uber. It’s worth the $110.00 to keep you safe. The greyhound only leaves once a day, at the crack of dawn, requiring you to stand under an overpass freeway at 4:30 AM with junkies to return home. Not...
