Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Update about a year later. Dined in.

Was NOT impressed. I enjoy a good salmon but the quality of the salmon I had at Outback was one of the worst. I was surprised as I expected more from them. It like fatty. Odd. I’ve eaten at less expensive restaurants and received better quality salmon.

I couldn't resist their Filet (medallions) and Shrimp deal. So that's what I ordered. I'm not normally a fan of the medallions and prefer my steak in one piece. However, these paired with the shrimp was so appealing.

It was more than enough food. The Fillet Medallions I ordered Medium, they were definitely more on the well done side but I'd like to take into account that maybe the steak cooked itself more on its way to my house in it's to-go container and all the residual heat? They were still tasty chunks of meat. The shrimp was good but I like my shrimp cooked to where it's a bit more tough, these were not. Not bad, just not what I prefer. The seasoning was great, I did not care for the cocktail(?) sauce (a creamy orange-ish colored sauce that was included).

The Loaded Mashed Potatoes did not disappoint they were delicious and I love all of the green onions (chives) they did not skimp on those!

The wedge salad was a bit of a disappointment. I definitely think this would have been better in-house and not to-go. Overall it was OK, it had halved cherry tomatoes, chunks of bacon, bits, red onion and I think some sort of vinaigrette on a healthy wedge of iceberg lettuce. It also came with a side of dressing my choice (blue cheese).

Okay, the dessert! The butter cake, is sweet and rich! Hits the sweet tooth craving for sure. Again, slight disappointment here as I was expecting sliced strawberries and received a strawberry gelatin with no actual strawberries. But it still worked and was good!

The complementary loaf of bread was delicious! My son talked about how much he liked their loaf of bread best -compared to other restaurants.

I think what I liked most was the surprise gift cards in my order that are good for future use! Thanks Outback, you'll see me and the fam in person soon to put those gift cards to use! And a huge "Thank you" for those, although I would like to understand why I received them. But am happy and grateful to have received them.

Delivered in a timely manner in my opinion for a Friday night when I placed the order at 6:13pm. Order arrived around 7:30pm -estimated time was about 72 mins when I placed the order.

I would order to go again from them, and look forward to enjoying a meal in...

I called in to the resturant around 545 pm and asked for a table at 620 for 9 people. I was told it would be longer so they said they would put us down for 7 pm. I said great! We arrived at 645 knowing we would wait 15 mins but could be possibly sooner. When I went to host stand they confirmed 7pm but I was told since we werent there at 620 to wait, It would be around 8 pm when we would get seated. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was completely understanding and had us sat by 7 pm! Our waitress was absolutley amazing! So nice to the kids! She as very prompt with refills, before we even had to ask for them. She was top notch professional but also very easy going and great at joking around. Couldnt have asked for a better waitress. When the food arrived my steak was undercooked. I asked for it to be put back on for a bit. The manager (who I assumed thought I was a karen after the first interaction) brought out the steak and asked me to cut into it. Before I could react he said that is not medium as it was bloody more like medium rare. He whisked it back to the kitchen. My friends childs chicken was also undercooked so they took that back also. They say the third times the charm, when they brought back my steak it was cooked to perfection, and I was told the manager cooked it. He was so nice and came out and informed us that my steak and the chicken would be taken off the check. I never asked for that as my steak in the end was fantastic. But he insisted and said that it wasnt cooked correctly and it would be taken off. He wasnt mean about it, he was genuinly sorry. He also gave the 5 kids at our table ice cream. We dont go out much and this expererience was great. We will 100% come back to this resturant as we felt heard, respected and valued. Thank you so much for this night out with our friends and all of our children! I only wish I knew the name of the wonderful waitress and manager who clearly care so much about...

March 22 at 7 as soon as we walked in the door it was a uncomfortable feeling the hostest and and staff of about 3 huddled around each other whispering chuckling when my daughter said something about being seated and high chairs they looked at her and kept talking. until I said hello .. they quickly took us to the back table seated by the bathrooms in a booth fitted for four adultsuu could putv6 small adults there.. you placed themenus on the table set somebody will be with you I had to ask a young lady that was avery nice girl for some help. By her Expressions I could tell that she knew what that waittress,\ hostest did masessed up!; there was no room to put two high chairs and the waitress knew it and still expected us to cram in there will I and my daughter are still standing in the walkway with two babies and can't sit down it was embarrassing the young lady goes and tells them whatever she says and we are moved to the other side . Are new waitress blond shorter lady ... It must have been her bad day "we all have them") so I wasn't holding it against her until It kept going on and on very rude and considerate impatient and spoke to us as if we were bothering her I felt that the entire time I was there. The food was overpriced and was not great I was really disappointed. I'll I didn't receive a second look towards my way by any staff I didn't receive a ref or bread that I asked for and the food was cold my steak was not cooked right. It was extremely disappointing to try to get together on such occasion 4 days before to go through this and not to be mindful whatsoever about your gueststhat has gotten ready out the door to come to your establishment for a change of scenery feelings for dinner . I even called 2 time after this because I was so blown away by there service and food we a we all together spent at least $200 or more we all paid separately and...
