Beware of staying at this Residence Inn, as my experience has been permanently marred. The staff here engages in collective dishonesty, tarnishing the reputation of the entire establishment.|| I arrived at the extended stay hotel at 3 am on Christmas Eve and had previously called to ensure a smooth check-in process. Management assured me that a late check-in was possible. However, upon arrival, the hotel was deserted, and security informed me that Judy, a staff member, was at the Fairfield Inn across the parking lot due to a system outage.||After a confrontation with Judy, during which she charged my card without prior notice, the situation escalated. It's important to note that these charges occurred while I was stranded on top of a mountain in snowy conditions. Despite the system outage, she insisted on a $400 security deposit, citing policy. Resigned and exhausted at 3 am, I agreed to use a different card.||After our argument, Judy agreed to let me stay if I walked back to the Fairfield Inn (2725 Geyser Drive) to ask the manager, Matthew, if that was okay. So, reluctantly, I did.||After explaining and apologizing the manager gave me a room key for a room at the Fairfield just for the night. He said go get some sleep but the room he gave me wasn't ready. When my fiancé expressed displeasure about the room and Judy, Matthew, decided to escalate the situation by calling 911 and falsely claiming my fiancé alone was refusing to leave. He NEVER mentioned me in his report.||The following day, discovering additional charges on my account, I returned to the Residence Inn. The woman working day shift IMMEDIATLY began treating me differently because of the night prior. She plastered on a fake smile and then made excuses for helping out 3 other people even though I was there first! Then, instead of helping she provided false information about holds on my account in order to stall me until the her boss showed up. I endured all of this only to discover that the entire night shift fabricated a report about us being violent and aggressive and refusing to leave. The day shift manager fixed the issue and then I left.||This experience was a nightmarish sequence of lies and mistreatment. The evening shift staff, particularly Judy, Matthew, and their small security guard. Should reflect on their actions. This Marriott has proven to be the worst I've ever encountered. Potential guests, especially disabled veterans, should exercise caution and explore alternatives such as the LA Quinta Inn across the street. Beware of deceptive reviews; the staff at this establishment appears to be unified in dishonesty, even towards...
Read moreI was attending an event at the Broadmoor World Arena, I booked the Residence Inn because it was an easy walk from the rink. The location was very accessible and convenient with multiple restaurants, easy highway access, and even a Target if I needed anything last minute. ||||Check in was easy. My one bedroom suite was very comfortable. I liked having the chaise wrap around on the couch and the little table that could be moved around. The kitchenette was small, but I could have cooked basic meals if I had wanted to. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very user friendly with a large vanity sink area separate from the private toilet and shower room. There was a bit of street noise from the nearby highway, but not enough to bother me. ||||Breakfast was included but somewhat limited, I think they are still operating under some covid restrictions. Most of the food during the week was individually wrapped and microwaved before serving. They regularly had breakfast burritos, sausage and egg sandwiches, mini quiche and packaged waffles. They also had a big tureen of oatmeal, cold cereal, muffins, fruit and yogurt. I loved that the coffee and tea station was open all day, several times I had downtime in the middle of the day and being able to get a cup of tea and relax was perfect. While I missed the bigger buffets with fresh-made food and waffle stations, I get it and don't hold it against them. ||My only small complaint that kept this from being a five star review was with housekeeping/front desk. They only clean rooms upon request which was fine. I did request a clean mid-stay and it was promptly done while I was out. I didn't realize until I was getting ready for bed that evening that they took my used towels but forgot to restock me with clean bath towels. I was already undressed, although luckily not wet yet, before I caught the omission. When I tried to call down to the front desk I was on hold for almost ten minutes and then when I explained the situation to the front desk clerk she was quite brusque and said she was the only one on duty and she was busy, if I wanted towels I could come down and pick them up. While the fix was easy enough, I was still a...
Read moreThe staff was so, so accommodating when we checked in. We were here for several weeks for work. Our stay was fine, but it was not great. Not the best residence inn we have stayed at, and certainly not the best Marriott. I'm very disappointed with the long term rate they charged us.
At check in the staff was very kind and gave us a welcome basket since we were staying long term.
I was very frustrated with the gentleman from the sales department. Of every hotel we have worked with, he was the least accommodating and charged us the most. (We travel for work and move from hotel to hotel). He told me they charge so much more because of the per diem rates in the area. We pay out of pocket and are not reimbursed for our hotel expenses, so this was very frustrating. What made it most frustrating was the quality of this residence inn. We have stayed in much nicer residence inns, towneplace, and Fairfield brands than this location for a much better rate.
This location does not have the standard Marriott soaps.
The TV is old and does not allow you to connect to any streaming services, so bring a roku.
The internet signs you out every single day.
The bathroom and shower had mold before we arrived. I tried scrubbing and getting it clean.
The breakfast was subpar for a residence inn. They didn't have quiches or ham and cheese croissants like other residence inns. During the week, breakfast was often put away 15 minutes before it was supposed to.
The laundry situation was awful. Only two washers and dryers. One of the washers was broken the entire two months we were there. Then, during the last week, the entire laundry room was shut down, and we were just told to go across the street to the Fairfield, where they had two washing machines and only one dryer. It was horrible.
Homeless crackheads are everywhere in this area. I would watch one guy come up to the trash can outside my window and go through it daily while looking for cigarettes on the ground. There was a homeless person living in the trees behind the hotel. He had his hammock set up with tarps.
Would I stay here again?...
