We had a big install done in new game room. We gutted the room- new floors, new paint job, new base trim, etc. We purchased almost $4,000 worth of home theater merchandise from Best Buy. To insure that the timeline of the project happened smoothly and that we didn't exceed our budget by too much...I called Geek Squad to make sure I had everything set up in the order that it needed to happen in. I CALLED 3 SEPARATE TIMES with the SAME question- "Do I need to have all walls painted, trim on, etc BEFORE Geek Squad does the set up? ORRRR Do I need to wait on painting walls, installing trim, etc and have install happen FIRST?" ALL 3 TIMES THEY TOLD ME TO HAVE EVERYTHING DONE PRIOR TO THE THEATER INSTALL. (i asked 3 times to make SURE i had the correct information). Boy, were they wrong! They discovered plumbing behind 2 of the holes that were cut in the wall for the speakers. I understand that you don't know what is behind the wall until you cut into it...I understand that NOW. I have 3 holes in my freshly painted walls, all my new baseboard had to be ripped off the wall and needs now to be repainted and caulked. I will be paying an extra $500 to fix everything, at least. So frustrating. With that said, the guys seemed to know what they were doing- pretty knowledgeable. HOWEVER, after they left, I turned on the TV and the audio is messed up--skipping every 1-2 seconds:(:( I called GS to have them come out to finish their job that wasn't yet complete and now I have to wait until Monday. Read moreIf you are a walk in you might as well forget it. I walked into the store at 10:10 and was pleased to see there was only 1 other customer in line in front of me who was being helped. There was unfortunately also only 1 person working behind the desk authorized to do anything helpful. Another employee asked me what was wrong and I explained the issue with my current phone. He told me I was next in line and they could check it out no problem, so far so good. I then stood there without talking to anyone for 45 min before they finally got through the guy in front of me and by that time someone had came in with a 11:20 appointment (it was 11:03) they then said they needed to start on his because he had an appointment. I objected to this and told them I had been there for the better part of an hour and they basically said there’s nothing they can do since he has an appointment (that didn’t even start for another 15 minutes and wouldn’t have been there expect that it had taken them SO LONG to get through one customer that someone else had finally come in with an appointment). Overall terrible experience, ended up wasting an hour of my time and never got helped. I love Best Buy and want to see them do well but that was unbelievably bad service.
(Note: if they had just told me they were swamped with appointments and they weren’t taking any walk-ins I would’ve left and not wasted 45 minutes just standing there. I also would not have been upset at that or left this review because I understand appointments should be...

But the COMO store manager made it right. Items I have purchased. Include laptops, TVs, sound systems, gaming system, microwave and a few stands for items.
