I bought my wife a new wedding ring set for our anniversary in October. By thanksgiving she noticed that a diamond was missing. We took the rind back in since we have the protection plan on it. They told me it would take 3 weeks to get it back. It has now been 30 days and still now ring. We called on Monday and they told me my ring was in. I sent my daughter to get my ring and they gave her someone else’s ring. When I called them they said I had to bring the ring back in and they would figure out what happened. When I got there with my daughter they figured out it was their fault and I told the lady I was leaving for vacation and would really like my ring by time I went. She told me that no matter what I would either have my ring or the display ring since the mess up was on them. I called today to check on my ring and they told me it was not in and I reminded me of the agreement and now they are telling me that they cannot give me the display ring and o have to wait on my rims to come in which will be when I on vacation. They told me there is no way they can make it right even though it was their mess up. This ring cost 5,000 and I should not have lost a diamond within a month. My mom bought a 10,000 dollar ring and has lost a diamond 3 times now. She wanted her money back but they wouldn’t do it so they told her she could have another ring but she had to pay the difference when in all reality they should just have replaced it since it was their jewelry that people keep losing diamonds on. My mom also bought a wedding band from their before this ring and also lost a diamond from it. It seems like the more expensive the jewelry is the more problems you have with it. I do not recommend anyone buying jewelry...
Read moreLong story.....So I left a pretty scathing voicemail message for JCP.Com regarding a pickup order I had placed. When my husband went to pick it up at our local jcp, he was told the order number could not be found. When I called JCP.com they saw it was ready for pick up and had no idea why the order number was not working. I asked them to cancel and reorder to have it shipped to my home and waive the shipping fee since the store doesn't recognize my order. They agreed to waive the shipping fee but would not give me the item for the price I originally purchased it for. With that answer, I asked them to cancel the order altogether. Later in the day I received a call from the manager of our local jcp, Vickie. She had received the refund request from jcp.com and wanted to know from me what had happened. After I explained the situation, she told me she had my package in hand and would mail it out to me, no shipping fee and for the same price I had originally paid plus a gift card for my inconvenience. She was very concerned about my experience and wanted to make sure she could do some additional needed training with her employee. My experience with Vickie will keep me shopping at JCP. She did what the customer service associate at JCP.Com should have done! Thank you, Vickie for caring about your customers and the reputation of the company...
Read moreDidn't have a very good experience. After waiting in line for what felt like forever I finally was able to check out. The young girl that checked me out was very apologetic but she was having an issue with something at her register and looked very confused so I'm guessing she was new. Not long after a manager (pregnant blonde lady, said "Beth" on her name tag) came to take over. She sort of rudely brushed her aside and took over the transaction and at that point I felt a little uncomfortable. She just had this attitude from the start like she didn't want to be there. She also kept pushing me to sign up for this credit card for some reason even though I told her the first time I had somewhere else to be afterwards. Her attitude turned even more sour after I declined like she just couldn't wait to be done with me. She threw my receipt in the bag and said "I can help whoever's next" while I'm still standing there putting my wallet away in my purse. At that point I felt disrespected. If I was considering to sign up for a JCPenney card, I doubt I'm going to want to sign up for one now. Overall I just felt it was lackluster customer service especially coming from a manager. I guess I'll take my business over to Kohl's because I definitely won't be coming...
