Great Clips — Attraction in Columbus

Got my daughter to take the shots in the collage pic today. Actually went earlier this week and Karyn there did a great job! I wash and air dry my hair, no styling or hair dryer.

My family has been going to this location for a long time, at least 12 years. Both of my youngest, now ages 9 and 11, had their first haircuts here. For a budget priced hair salon, they do a great job! I have had a few not quite perfect cuts over the years, but that's usually been due to my occassionally getting a new less experienced stylist. A number of the stylists have been there about as long as I've been going there and it's nice to have seen familiar faces over the years.

One thing I really appreciate is that they never try to cross sell me on any products. I've been to a number of other hair places before starting to go here and a few times since and they typically try to sell you on something else. That's never happened to me at this Great Clips locaton other than an occasional reference to a product.

I requested a certain person to cut my hair,, because I like the way she listen and cut my hair the way I wanted it. When I came back this time, I was treated differently. she stated my hair was the way it was in a picture that I showed her. But it was not. She suggested a different cut and I agreed because I knew by her attitude I was not going to get what I asked for. So, not to have a debate with her. I asked her to thin out my hair a little more, because it felt heavy and she said it was not and huffed at me. But she did what i asked.. Not good service if customer can not request what they want. At check out,I had a discount coupon and by her facial expression, I dont think she liked that.. i gave the money i saved and add it to her tip. I was generous even though i left feeling like i was not deserving of having my hair cut the way i wanted it.. Maybe she was having a bad day. Don't know.. But I decided I will look for another salon. All I am looking for is a person that enjoys their career and people. Thank you for asking my input....

I’m a regular here. This morning I arrived a few minutes before 9 AM open time. Two other men were waiting outside. Meanwhile, there is already a lady getting her haircut & another lady in the waiting area reading a magazine. After a few minutes the other stylist unlocks the door. She gets the three of entered. It is just her & the other stylist who is already with the lady getting her done. A couple minutes go by & another 3 or 4 guys enter. This about 5 minutes after 9 AM. The one stylist that is taking in walk-ins, greets them & informs them it will be an hour before they get a cut. I got up & told he to remove me from the list. One of the other guys did not stay. There were a couple more going in when we’re heading to our car. Another patron walked back out, as I drove off. Busiest day & time they have one stylist handling the traffic. Didn’t even know they offered to cut my hair before opening. Seems oblivious, my patronage is not...
