Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Columbus

This spot is a bit hidden in a plaza, so you might miss it, but there's plenty of parking and a decent amount of tables to eat in with social distancing. It's build your own style, going down a line. You have a few choices of a base and proteins, and of course, plenty of toppings and sauces! I got the rice bowl, with lamb and beef, all of the available toppings, tzatziki sauce, and spicy feta sauce (about $10, extra $1 for the spicy feta). The meat was tender, rice seasoned nicely, and the sauces were very good! I recommend the lamb and beef and getting all their toppings, or to just try as well because I really like their toppings, which were fresh and delicious. I also really enjoyed their sauces because they really pulled the dish together. We also got regular fries to share, which were awesome! The fries were seasoned well and very crunchy, I recommend highly ($4). The owner and staff were very nice and we talked about their food and restaurant a lot. I recommend this place for a delicious meal, a nice lunch, and a taste of authentic mediterranean. I will say that everything was a bit pricey (I paid $30 including tip, for 2 bowls and fries). Ordered delivery through the restaurant's website on 2/23/2025. After a delivery driver was assigned and on the way to the restaurant the order was cancelled (apparently door dash manages delivery for orders made through Zaytoon's website).

I was instructed to call Door Dash for a refund, but as I had ordered through the restaurant's website DoorDash had never received payment from me, and thus could not refund my order (payment had gone directly to Zaytoon through their website). I called the restaurant 3 times trying to figure this out, and the staff member I spoke to originally was helpful. Eventually I was connected with (what I assume to be) a manager who was extremely rude and told me that DoorDash had picked up the order then cancelled it, and thus it was not his problem. He refused to refund my money for an order not completed, which really seems like an issue he should take with DoorDash, not with me. came here for a quick and delicious dinner. The food smelled so good and the people working at the restaurant were so kind and welcoming to us, we decided to sit down and pig out. Plus the music was fun. The stuffed grape leaves & hummus were yummy appetizers and they conveniently give them to you in a container you can take home for extra. We had beef/lamb in our plates and they were delicious and juicy! The spicy feta and tabouli were great too. We tried both the mixed berry drink (with pomegranate juice) and the orange cardamom. Would recommend trying the drinks!

At one point we watched one of the servers carefully go through all the ingredients in each sauce/dish for a customer with celiac disease and then he made sure to wash his hands before getting the food. He really took the time to make sure that the customer had a good and safe meal and we felt comforted seeing how much they genuinely care here.
