Short Version – This place is great with awesome services and employees. This is a great addition the C-Bus scene especially with so many health and fitness conscience sub-communities. I will certainly be back again!! For a more in-depth review, see below.
I recently visited Hydrate Me in Grandview. I had the makings of a cold/flu, I had a rather long weekend that was not restful but somewhat relaxing, and was pretty dehydrated from my weekend workouts and festivities. On top of it all, I had a deep tissue massage on the Friday before my Monday visit. I had heard of the services through word of mouth, specifically my Crossfit gym in Dublin, OH, and have seen similar services around the country, and have been intrigued.
Scheduling the appointment was akin to placing an amazon prime order, simple and convenient. The required medical documentation was forwarded to my email after booking the appointment, which I promptly filled out on my phone, the entire process, from scheduling to confirming, taking less than 5 minutes.
The location is easy to find and there is dedicated parking specifically for the business. Walking into the space, the aura and chi is inviting, with relaxing music, with a contemporary design and matching furniture. I was greeted with a smile and a welcome. I let them know I had an appointment and a nurse practitioner was there to answer any questions I had. I went over some of the symptoms I was experiencing as well as some lifestyle indicators that allowed her to give me a clear and concise recommendation. The aroma was that of what smelled to be eucalyptus and mint, adding to the already aesthetically pleasing environment. I was led to a row of super comfortable leather chairs with matching foot rests. I sat down and the process began. I got what was called a “post completion” and I have posted the add for it specifically below. I started feeling better about 15 min into my first bag. It’s hard to put it into words, I just felt better, my racing heart stopped (text book dehydration), less irritable, out of my haze, a bit of a headache subsided. I just felt better.
The rest of the time was spent watching one of the giant smart Televisions that are situated in front of the rows of the aforementioned comfortable chairs. I chose to watch a NatGeo special on European landscapes. I figured my normal go to binge on Netflix “Narcos” didn’t fit the chi of this place, but the employees definitely would have been cool with it. After about an hour and some change, I was all done.
I will for sure be back again after my experience, as I found the services to be outstanding. And there are so many I want to try, Next up for sure in the Oxygen. I can see incorporating their services into my weekly regime…and of course, for those evenings spent out and Game Day Saturdays.

Read moreSadly, I had a very unfortunate experience here and am writing in hopes of preventing it from happening to anyone else. I got the BBL laser spot treatment a few months ago, and I do not think it was administered correctly for my skin type- I now have extremely noticeable ugly white scars on the sides of my face that aren't going away.
Prior to the treatment, I had heard that dark skin has a higher chance of getting burned or experiencing adverse effects with laser treatments. I also have extremely sensitive skin, which I mentioned at my initial appointment. However, I was told that it was "completely safe" for my tan skin type and not to worry, but that I may experience minor redness, bruising, and scabbing for a few days.
Instead, I experienced extreme blistering and pain, weeks-long skin discoloration, and now have terrible hypo-pigmentation scar dots. Because my skin is so dark, it shows up like night and day- several of my friends have even pointed it out. It's been 12 weeks, and ZERO pigment has returned to those areas because the skin is so damaged. I got second opinions from my doctor and was told it could take 6 months for any pigment to return, if it does at all.
Up front these type of risks were NOT mentioned to me. I blindly listened to the nurse when she said it was safe. Maybe if the gentler setting had been used, but the nurse used one too intense for my skin type. I did get a refund, but this has really plummeted my self esteem and is a...
Read moreI have been going to this location for two years seeing my nurse practitioner Paige. Today I arrived for my normal Botox service to find out at time of arrival that she no longer worked for the company. I was extremely disappointed. I was not made aware of this prior to my appointment so that I could either prepare myself for the appointment to be with a new NP or change/cancel my apt. When I seemed surprised that I was not notified they simply stated that she no longer work there, no apologies for lack of communication. Again, I don’t think this is the best practice to change a provider that was specifically scheduled by a client without notifying them. I had also brought up the fact that during my last appointment in April, the points for my service were not applied to my alle account which would’ve totaled $20 towards my service today. I asked if they could go back and apply these since the receptionist was new and clearly did not do this at the time of service. I was advised that they could not go back even though they could see my appointment in the system. Again, this is minor as it is only $20, just more so disappointing that a client is responsible for training opportunity with the staff, just like time of arrival no apology was made for...
