We recently booked a Columbus Pedal Wagon ride to celebrate my sister’s birthday and overall, we had a fun time with our group. The concept is great for a group outing, and the energy among our crew made for a really memorable experience.
That said, I did want to share some feedback about our driver, April. While friendly, she wasn’t very engaging throughout the ride and didn’t seem to have a plan or suggestions for our route, which left us navigating much of the experience on our own. We made the best of it, but a bit more leadership and enthusiasm from our guide would have really enhanced the experience.
Our biggest concern came at the end of the night when a severe thunderstorm hit. As the rain poured down and thunder rolled, our driver pulled up near the designated drop-off and simply instructed us to get off—despite the clearly unsafe conditions. There were no safety precautions offered, and when we asked if she could move us closer to the nearby garage for shelter, we were told the bike couldn’t go in reverse and there was nothing she could do. This left our group sprinting through flooded streets in the storm, soaked and scrambling to find cover. It was a pretty jarring way to end what was otherwise a really fun night.
We’re still glad we did the Pedal Wagon, but hope that in the future, more attention is paid to safety and route support, especially during...
Read moreAvast, me hearties! Gather 'round and listen to me tale of the jolly voyage we embarked upon aboard the pedal wagon, under the leadership of the legendary Captain Spaz. This sturdy contraption, akin to a ship on wheels, carried our crew of merry adventurers through the bustling streets. As we pedaled our way through the city, we tested our knowledge and wit with trivia challenges led by Captain Spaz himself. 'Twas a voyage filled with laughter, camaraderie, and brain-teasing riddles. Guided by the jolly captain, we navigated the city's twists and turns, embracing the spirit of adventure and friendly competition. 'Twas an unforgettable journey, where joy and knowledge intertwined. So, me mateys, if ye seek a lively adventure that will test both yer brains and yer brawn, come aboard the pedal wagon and let the...
Read moreSu was awesome she made the experience! [Edited] this was originally a five star review because we were told by the conductor that her bonus was contingent on leaving a Google review (presumably a good one). Tying your employees' remuneration to your company's online status is unethical. In reality, this experience was pretty abysmal. Almost all the seats were broken so everyone paid $50 to bang their knees on the steel frame repeatedly for an hour. The seats had been welded in place so they couldn't be adjusted and most of us left with bruises and scrapes. The conductor really was awesome and that was the only redeeming quality of this experience, too bad she only gets paid the full amount owed to her if the customers are willing to give a good Google review to...
