So I have wanted to go to The Pint House for quite some time but never really got around to it until a group of girls from work got me to go. I understand the stress and mistakes than can occur when serving "larger" groups but if you're like me and have been in the service industry for a long time you would know it's not rocket science. Out of the 15 girls (myself included) we all ordered food and for the majority of the table drinks as well. After reading the menu I noticed I couldn't enjoy 90% of the menu because of two allergies I have, so I went with the safest option possible, mac & cheese. I ordered the mac & cheese thinking " I wouldn't have to modify it so there is no way they can mess it up" and they surely found a way. 14 of the 15 girls at my table were served their food from huevos rancheros to pizza and the one order of food they didn't bring out? Yep, you guessed it, it was my mac & cheese. I sat for over 15 minutes assuming someone had to notice that 1 girl out of a 15 top that had nothing in front of her but water but nope I was wrong about that too. I had 3 other girls out of my group complain because I was not in the mood to on account of my decreasing blood sugar. After letting the bartender know that I had no food still while everyone else had cleared their plates they said "They are working on it"....working on it? It's 12:30PM on a Sunday and you are still working on a lunch/shareable entree? After relaying that information the mac & cheese took about another 7 minutes before arriving at the table. Now I will say it was piping hot and pretty good mac but my lord was it so hard to notice the one girl who has no food, doesn't have an alcoholic beverage and who is watching the kitchen for a plate of mac & cheese to come out? Sadly I won't ever be dining at The Pint House again for...
Read moreI had a very bad experience this past Sunday (5/19). I brought some friends who were visiting from out of town here for brunch. Our waitress was very pleasant and the food was solid, but when we asked for the check they informed us that their card machines were down, and it would be a bit before they were back up. We didn’t think it was a big deal at first, but fast forward an hour and we were still waiting to pay. We waited an entire hour after we were done eating just to pay our bill. We had a music festival that we were missing, and were obviously unhappy. We were surprised when they finally brought us our bills without offering any sort of discount, so we asked the waitress about it. She came back and said her manager refused to give us a discount, and instead offered us “boozy” popsicles (which were bad, by the way). The manager didn’t even come to apologize. I’ve worked in food service, and any other place would have offered a heavy discount, if not making the meal totally free. Extremely poor management, and I was embarrassed that I had brought my friends there. I will not be returning, and will never recommend them to...
Read moreIn one word: disappointing. Overall just a mediocre experience for the price. I got the pint house burger for $13, which is comparable to the price of other Columbus meal hits such as Hot Chicken Takeover and Condado.
I asked for medium rare, I got a burger with absolutely no pink whatsoever. I also got the loaded fries side upgrade, which was good but not-so-loaded. All was still well, until the food came out and they forgot the pickle, and took about 10 minutes to bring everyone's food out. Not a big deal, but with all of the problems so far it wasnt ideal.
Finally, they brought out checks, and not only gave me the wrong one, but wrongly applied a beer to my order. I would not go back to eat at Pint House. I will say that their beer selection looked great and their happy hour is an attractive one. Their atmosphere was also warm...
