I dropped off my husband’s wedding band, which—even though dirty— was clearly made in the image I posted that is of a “hammered” texture. I asked them to fix the gap (bc he had to cut it off, so it was missing about 1/4 inch of white gold) and he would have it resized later. When I returned, the ring had not been repaired to its previous state, and instead had been melted, pushed together so the sides met, and polished so much that it was a single smooth (no pattern, no nothing) ring. I explained that it had been hammered along the band prior to his work. He acted like he didn’t know what “hammered” meant, and went to the back to put a ridge along the edge of the band. He came back out and I explained once more that the entirety of the band at its thickness was hammered. All of requested is that the ring’s gap get fixed. No polishing, just fixing what had to be cut. “Hammering” is not some unheard of style in men’s bands. It is a style that is easily google-searched. The lack of knowledge on their part is a sign that they do not have the ability to take a piece of jewelry and restore it to its original state— even when that just means cleaning and replacing a gap of missing metal. Either this is the case, or they just don’t care to clarify what their process will be once they get the piece of jewelry. Once I saw the ring I repeated twice what the ring looked like prior to their work on it. He acted like he didn’t know what “hammering” was and that the ring didn’t show any signs of this being its design when I brought it (hence his reasoning on why he polished it down so much the design wasn’t even distinctive anymore) Now I have to go to another place to restore it back to its original state because it was polished down so much that the original pattern is completely gone. If you need simple cleaning done this is the place. If you expect the jeweler to be attentive to your desires regarding the final product, seek somewhere with a more experienced jeweler. The jeweler wasn’t there when my order was written up and I wasn’t consulted at any point along the way in the restoration of my husband’s band. They did call to let me know why it was taking longer than one day, and that was bc of my ring and band being of different materials (platinum and white gold) **photos of what the hammered ring’s design was going in, and a photo...
Read moreI have been in this jewelry store twice myself but my parents have done business with them many times. The first time I went I had a good experience. I had just gotten engaged and needed my ring sized. They did it that same day and got it back. The man was very nice. The second time was the worst experience that I've ever had at a retail store. Two days before my wedding I went in with my mom and told the lady that I was about to get married and needed my ring cleaned. Since I lost weight I wanted them to size it so it wouldn't fall off on the honeymoon. She looked at my ring and asked what metal it was. After telling her that it was platinum she proceeded to tell me that it wasn't. She then looked at it through her eye thing and said "oh I guess it is platinum." She told me when it could be ready and got out the paper to do insurance stuff. She asked create size and price. I told her and she told me that there was no way my fiancé had paid that price for my ring. After telling her that I had seen the price myself on the paperwork she proceeded to write down a lower price than what I told her and what my fiancé had paid. She insinuated that the clarity of my ring wasn't good, when I told her what it was she said that there was no way it could be that. She was very rude and accusing. I was a bride who was getting married two days later and I left the shop crying. My mom then went back inside and got my ring back and told the lady that we would no longer be doing business with them. My parents will no longer be using them and I would never recommend this...
Read moreMy mother passed just 3 weeks ago. I had a ring I had taken out of her jewelry box many years ago and had been currently wearing up until I broke it a few months ago. I prolonged getting the ring fixed due to various and pointless rides to different jewelry stores that left me hopeless. Eventually, I was recommended to jewelry touch, I will forever be thankful for that recommendation.
Jewelers touch is an absolute wonderful place to go if you need any jewelry repair or needs! The staff are extremely generous, kind, and were interested in helping with my needs. I brought my mother’s ring in on a Wednesday and by that next Tuesday it was ready to be picked up. When I arrived and my mother’s ring was shown to me, my heart was overjoyed. The ring looked like brand new even been than it looked when I took it out of her jewelry box as a young girl and began to wear it.
My mother’s rings is so special to me, especially with her death coming so suddenly. It’s one of the most sentimental valuable things I have left that I feel continues to connect me with my mother. I can never Thank Gary enough! I am forever grateful! Please go to this store for all of your jewelry needs, you will...
