Bassett Furniture — Attraction in Concord

I rated this store one originally, somehow my one star was moved to Dublin Ohio... At the same time this store went from 174 reviews to 16... My wife and I paid cash and were told upfront that there would be two payments, one at time of order and one before delivery. We waited 90 days from order to get aone piece delivered and another two months for our couch due to a supply shortage at Bassett furniture manufacturing. Fair enough, but due to the long wait we were told we had up to the day before delivery to complete the remaining 20% balance as a mea culpa. The person who arranged this did her end was kind, funny, and made us feel like 90 days was a cinch. Her coworker,however, was the exact opposite. She decided to start bombarding us two weeks in advance of our agreed upon payment date with calls that amounted to an experience that disrupted both my wife's and my work schedule multiple times. If you watched Will Smith in pursuit of happiness demand money from that dude in the middle of the night, you get the idea. When you pay this much for furniture you should not be brow beat for payment and made to feel like an inconvenience especially when there was an agreed upon payment schedule. Update. This is a zero star. The sales person was not knowledgeable enough about the limits on the fabric or how their corporation allows purchasers of product. When we choose from their approved selection for this couch and asked about the fabric weave tearing, the guy assured us that corporate would not approve this fabric as an option for the sales floor on a tight back couch if there was any possible way it would tear from use. Fast forward one year of two adults using it and the seams were ripping in the center of the couch. Conveniently, the warranty doesn't cover that, because we choose the fabric... The fabric that corporate approved... But they were more than willing to send a reupholster specialist or for...

Mercy, I really wish picking out furniture was like buying a car. Go pick it out and take it home. Well, not the case with quality furniture. Model, color, other features to pick out. What color goes with what. Then it takes a few months to get built and delivered. We bought our first couch from Bassett 23 years prior and really loved the size and quality of the product so after searching high and low for a substitute and finding nothing that could compare, we went back to Bassett. The prices might be higher than the other places, but so is the quality, and I firmly believe that with Basset, you get what you pay for. Fortunately, Trevor, at Bassett in Concord, made everything effortless and painless. He was with us from beginning to end, and we "my wife" is very picky, so he had his work was cut out for him. He called and emailed every so often reassuring us that the furniture was under construction and that it would be done on schedule. We also received email from Bassett when construction was started and when it was finished and ready for delivery. Trevor, you and Bassett gave us exactly what we were looking for and kept it within our price range. Thanks...

I recently purchased a Bench Made dining table and chairs with the help of Toni, the designer. From the very beginning, it was a great experience. Toni came to my home to measure and make sure it would fit my space. I was doubtful, but she was sure it would and she was right. It is exactly what I wanted and it looks GREAT. I did have one chair that I had a problem with - a small area on the seat about the size of my fist. They immediately ordered a replacement seat, but when the tech brought it out, the stain on the new seat was a shade darker. He suggested that I let him touch up the original seat and see what I thought. It worked out perfectly. I can't say enough about everyone I dealt with at this store. From the designer to the folks that scheduled the delivery, the tech and the business office, they were so professional and so willing to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I would definitely buy from this...
