Boise really is special, having so many parks to enjoy. Parks and rec time is well spent keeping the parks looking nice, garbage picked up, and new investments in amenities (like the the splash pad). We recently attended the spirit of Boise balloon launch, and it didn't disappoint. We brought our kids back when it was the river festival, now we're bringing the grandkids. Things are pretty informal, so folks need to bring their own chairs and/or blankets to sit on. Seems like there's room to improve the food vendor selection. Lines get pretty long for food items and the cocoa/coffee vendors. Prices are high, too, so more vendors with more options may stabilize prices and shorten the lines. I see us attending these events every year as it's a real unique way to experience part of the culture that makes Boise what it is.

Walking the Greenbelt between downtown Boise and Garden City you’ll arrive at this delightful riverside park in 150 acres. It was all planted in the 1950s, and as well as being picture-perfect and abounding with water features, Ann Morrison Park is packed with amenities and interesting details. You can go birding here, right in the middle of an urban environment, while there’s a series of conservation stations providing habitats for insects, bats, birds and more. For people with pups in tow, there’s a superb off-leash dog park that has a fenced area for “shy dogs”. Elsewhere you’ll find a children’s playground, bocce, an outdoor gym, horseshoes, an 18-hole disc golf course and even a cricket field, home to Boise Cricket Club.

Ann Morrison Park is a gateway to Boise Greenbelt and a fantastic place to take your family for some fun in the park. Enjoy a walk, run, or bike on the path. Stop at the enormous playground. Check out all the beautiful sights to behold well within walking distance. Parking isn't bad at all, and the bathrooms are kept tidy. There are plenty of parks in Boise to choose from, but Ann Morrison just has that little bit of extra something special that makes it a good place to start your journey in Boise. The pictures I'm posting with this review can all be found within a short distance of the park and are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what you can find. If you like to play outside, this is the place to visit.

One of best largest well maintained park on Boise with so many facilities like golf course, volleyball court, outdoor gym, playground, tennis courts, soccer, cricket ground, football field etc. Large fountain attractive. Many restrooms are there. Three important things to highlight 1 Every year there is hot air Ballon festival which we missed due to bad weather, sudden cancelation of event in early morning. 2 Large Treasure valley dog island in park. 3 There are shelter areas which can be booked in advance for events, picnic & ceremonies. This ark is on Boise river adjacent to Kathryn Albertson park Beautiful park
