Ninth Street Bridge — Attraction in Boise

I remember back in the '70s, riding across this bridge in the family car. It was almost too narrow for those old boats to pass each other going opposite directions and the bridge deck would shake and shudder like it was going to collapse. The new paint and blacktop make it look almost new but back then it looked like it was 160 years old...

The inscription reads, 1911 built by Missouri Valley Bridge and Iron Co.

The bridge may not handle the weight of large semi-trucks, but it does very well with bicycles. The railing prevents young children from falling off the bridge, but there are signs warning of the dangers of jumping off.
