I have been a customer of Body Basics for over two years. After two surgeries on my spine in 2012, my orthopedic surgeon recommended that I start working with a personal trainer twice a week, and he mentioned that he had been working with a personal trainer at Body Basics for some time. I decided to give it a try, and I believe that was one of the best decisions that I have ever made regarding my health.
The personal trainers at Body Basic are extremely knowledgeable and conscientious. In the two years plus that I have been training at Body Basics, there has been zero turnover in employment. I am working today with the same trainer that I started with in 2012. On the few occasions when she was not working, I have worked with a couple of different trainers. They are all excellent. They closely monitor my performance of the exercises to make sure that I am doing them properly so there is no chance of me hurting myself by getting into incorrect positions. They have such a large number of exercises so I never get bored, and I feel like I am working on every muscle in my body. I had never experienced this extensive kind of exercise program, so I believe this is the best overall condition that I have ever achieved.
The other thing that I am so impressed about at Body Basics is the quality and cleanliness of the facility itself. I was familiar with the various types of free weights and exercise machines that we use, but there are also many pieces of equipment that I had never heard of to assist you in exercising all of your muscles.
The management and staff obviously work very hard to keep everything spotless and in good working order. Everything is very organized. I should also mention that this facility is so well equipped that you never have to wait on someone else to get finished with a piece of equipment.

Read moreI am currently training with James Kling at Body Basics. James has an FMS (Functional Management Specialist) certification which is why I chose to work with him. He is helping me rehabilitate my back and knee from prior injuries and a knee surgery. I have trained with many Personal Trainers over the last 15 years and I would have to say that James is one of the best! He is helping me work on proper form, balance and building back strength. I love working with him because he ignores my whining and encourages me to do my best and tells me that I CAN. :)
I have heard nothing but positive things about James and the other Trainers at Body Basics. James, Christine, Joy, Leah and Katie are all highly qualified (and certified) trainers that truly seem to care about helping their clients reach their goals. Also, the atmosphere at Body Basics is great. Everyone is super nice and you will see people of all ages and fitness levels training there. They also have boot camp classes if you are looking to work out in a group setting.

Read moreI've been training here for over a year now. I first started with Body Basics when I was 3 months postpartum and I had fairly moderate Diastasis Recti. My trainer was very knowledgeable and helpful right from the start. She helped make sure my movements were keeping me safe AND progressing my abilities. All the training plans are individualized too so I was able to get the personalized attention I needed in order to hit my goals without causing injury. Since healing my DR I have worked with other trainers too and they have all been great. Everyone is super knowledgeable and friendly and the environment is very welcoming and vibrant. I have had other trainers at other gyms before that just focused on pushing a tough workout even if I really couldn't handle the weight or didn't have the correct form.
