A Hidden Gem in Boise: Lost Grove Brewing
I spent my lunch hour today at Lost Grove Brewing, and I have to say — it was one of the best midday breaks I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the Lost Grove Supreme 8-inch pizza and their garden salad, and both were absolutely fantastic.
The pizza was a standout: thin, perfectly cooked crust with that subtle crisp you only get from a well-seasoned oven. The pepperonis were just how I like them — curled up with darkened edges and a satisfying crunch, adding rich flavor to every bite. The fresh garden salad complemented it all with crisp veggies and a light, flavorful dressing that balanced the meal nicely.
But it’s not just about the food here. Lost Grove is the kind of place that draws you in with good vibes and keeps you coming back. Whether you’re looking for a casual beer with friends or a place to bring your family, this place fits the bill. Their patio porch area is one of Boise’s best-kept secrets — plenty of seating, shade from thoughtfully placed trees, and a garden-like setting that makes it easy to lose track of time. On certain evenings, they even host live music, adding to the charm.
Lost Grove Brewing has mastered the balance of relaxed atmosphere, great food, and a true community feel. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Boise, make the time to stop in — you won’t be...
Read moreCool brewery with a great little pizza spot, made in house. Beers were pretty good, many varieties to choose from, even had some other non-beer stuff if your significant other/friend isn't into beer. Good selection of IPA's (fav) and everything in between. Checked in here on a Monday afternoon visiting Boise, find out about their beer and pizza special and had to get it. Hell of a deal an how it should be. The pizza was a great personal size, with interesting topping combos and good crust. I'm all about pizza, and this one was up there. Also, I liked that this brewery didn't feel restaurant centric at all. The food menu was limited to a few things that were not overwhelming and honestly complimented with a few beers. Some places push that restaurant/food gig so hard it takes away from a small brewery and being solely about the beer. So I appreciated that, possibly others do as well. Got a sixer to go, and hope to pop back in next...
Read moreWe enjoy the La Pointe taproom, and I hate to leave a bad review, but our experience there last week was pretty poor. I would say we go here about twice a month. There is always at least one bartender working who has a bad attitude and should not be customer facing. She makes it seem like you are bothering her. It is a bummer to feel like you are interrupting a staff party to get a beer. Also, while the breadsticks are generally amazing, we ordered the supreme pizza last week and it was a major disappointment. The menu said it came with roasted red peppers. It had green peppers. And I don't think you can call what was on it salami. It was slimy and gross and seemed to be poor quality. Plus canned mushrooms instead of fresh. The crust was burnt while the toppings were undercooked. The bread sticks were burnt too. And $100 check for 3 people is a bit steep. It's going to take me a bit to go back, even for the break sticks and good...
