Avenue Shoppes at Florida Mall — Attraction in Oak Ridge

We went to Champions yesterday, March 25, 2023. We asked for a shoe size for a young boy. The salesperson had short hair and was African American. We asked him for help, and he looked at the sneaker and went to the back. 15 minutes later, he approached us, and I would quote what he told my young daughter after she asked him if they had the Nike sneaker we had asked for. He told her, "Why did you not give me the sneaker?" with a really confrontational attitude towards her. She then asked him, "So you went to the back for 15 minutes, and you forgot, and I should have assumed how the store policy is in this store? He asked her at that point, "Do you want the shoes or what?" He went to the back. The young Spanish register girl and the other female salesperson that I assume was the manager, I approached they and told them both I have been in the customer service industry myself for 20+ years and I would never treat anyone like this. I told them he acted like a, "As?ho[*" towards my daughter, and she just stood there and did nothing. Music in that store with so much cursing in the lyrics and "most" of the salespeople just standing there doing absolutely nothing. I can not tell who is who since they did not have any name tags at all or any uniforms to identify them as...

Was able to get what we needed. But was sad to see how amazon and online shopping has destroyed malls. Sears was such an abandoned store. Not sure why they are still open as the selctions were so limited and looked like a ghost town. As for the stores throughout the mall, it was very nice that employees throughout were helpful and pointed us in the direction we needed to go. Bought a party dress, shoes, and also a massage gun (which that wasn't what we were looking for), but the employee selling it really made a great sell by being well spoken. Didnt get a name, but he recently moved to the States, and it was his first week here. It's gonna be very sad when malls and stores all become online. The Florida Mall is a must to visit if ever in the Orlando, FL area. My wife and I visit a few times a month to grab lunch. They have so many choices to choose from. Our favorite is at El Meson. Great spanish cuisine that will have you coming back for more. I am sure you will have a great time shopping seeing they have every store you can name and some at this mall.
