I visited Black Market Minerals today to pick 2 replacement cords for the salt rock lamps I had purchased from them several years ago; I live in Dallas so, hence the delay.
As I was looking through the store, I noticed some additional items that caught my attention, and I carefully held each item to sense its vibration. I had no intention of getting any of these items; however, as my Dad is going in for surgery in 2 days - and I'm the only surviving "next of kin" - I realized how on edge I was while standing in the store and these particular stones resonated with me and felt calming.
The gentleman at Black Market Minerals who assisted me showed me a level of kindness that is sorely lacking in many areas of our society these days. I literally had tears running down my face for about 10 minutes after leaving the store as I sat in my car to get a handle on my emotions.
A message to Mr. "Born in San Antonio and Raised in Maryland" -- thank you, Sir, for your kindness and compassion. I have a distinct feeling that I will remember you with love each time I embrace these stones -- and that makes them all the more special!
You are so very right in that kindness is to be paid forward. Big hugs to...
Read moreI was so excited to come to this store! And sure enough, when i walked in a I was not disappointed - this is a seriously cool store with an amazing selection. I was like a kid in a candy store, I had smudge sticks, an amethyst lamp, and wanted to ask about pricing - this is where it went wrong. I approached the only employee in the store (that was quite busy despite being mid-day), a young man with short dreadlocks, and waited while he checked out another customer. I did not even get to ask my question, the employee looked at me, threw up his thumb and said “you’re on the wrong side, line starts over there.” I then observed as he proceeded to rudely interact with every customer, snapping annoyedly if they asked any questions and refusing to reciprocate even if someone greeted him. I knew at this point that I was not going to get my questions answered and my heart sank. I dropped all of my items and left the store without purchasing a thing. I was so excited to finally visit this store, I love minerals and rocks of all kinds and find joy in them, but I was treated like an annoyance and that joy evaporated immediately, I will not be back unless...
Read moreDon't go to this place with your own personal jewelry on, bc if you accidentally leave it behind and they find it and they will resell it behind your back. I had a pair of really nice sterling silver dream catcher earrings with a white clear quarts in the center of the dream catcher and a brown stone dangling from the bottom, and I had lost one of them when I was walking around their store one day. That night when I realized it was missing I called over and they said that it wasn't there they took my info and said they will call me back if they find it just for my cousin to go back a week later and find it in their glass container reselling it. My cousin didn't know it was mine at the time bought it and gifted it to her fiance but still the point is they stole my earing and lied about not having it. IM NEVER shopping here again and I plan on contacting news agencies to see if they will pick up the story and I know it was my earring bc no 2 stone are exactly alike and the stone on the earing that now belongs to my cousin in law Is the exact same stone in the pics I have of me wearing the earrings...
