This beach is really clean and nice. My only issue is that the lifeguards are the fun police.. No boogie boarding , skim boarding , playing nerd football in the water area. They have volleyball nets set up if you like that. The key is set up at the north or south ends of the beach. Once you pass the brown sign that says lifeguards not past this point, you will find surfing, boogie and skim boards as well a place you can take your dog because no dogs allowed on delray public beaches. If you come at a time of the year when seaweed is present come early in the day because the city cleans the beach and that is nice. Free parking is available off Atlantic and then you use the free golf cart service to pick / drop you off. I only do this when the metered parking on ocean blvd/ A1A is not available.

As I looked out into the Atlantic Ocean I started to heal. As each wave eagerly edged closer and closer to my toes and receded back again it took with it some of the burdens and pain I've been carrying and washed them out into oblivion. There is something humbling and healing about standing before the seemingly endless expanse of blue water. Reminding me that I'm not so big and neither are my problems. And the One who created all this is loving. I could have stayed here for days staring out into the blue. Freeing my mind of what troubles find me and filling it with the sound of waves upon the sand and seagulls begging for food and children laughing as they play in the warm waters. This place is awe inspiring. And if you get a chance bring a blanket, lay in the sun, close your eyes and listen to the waves sooth your soul.

The beach of Delray Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in South Florida. Well maintained and clean. However, the city could do a special effort to get rid of the many sea weeds. No apartments buildings on the sand, not many loud snowbirds from the Northeast. Most of the people you will find there, are local residents who come to the beach to relax and swim with their kids, to do kite surfing, to play beach volleyball or to sail a catamaran. I go there every Sunday afternoon, winter or summer. The parking is easy (ParkMobile) and across A1A. And after a long week of work, it is always the same joy and excitement to walk on the sand with your feet in the warm water or to meditate in front of the Atlantic Ocean.😎 All pictures are mine and are copyrighted.

Nice Beach for swimming and relaxation. Plenty of people walking/exercising. Lots of tourists. Nice crowd. Plenty of parking but it's not free. Parking is $1.50 P/H. No coins are accepted. You have to use your credit card or paper bills. You don't have to pay for parking if you go after 8PM. The sidewalk is very wide which allows plenty of room for the foot traffic. Very nice scenery. Large beautiful mansions along Ocean Dr. No animals allowed on the beach. No dogs, no pets. Thank you very much for checking in. Have a blessed day.

So do Palm Beach residents not pay enough taxes for you to maintain your beaches!? Broward and Dade country clean up this abundance of seaweed and make composted soil they use for all of their public landscaping! You leave yours ROTTING on your beaches? You charge to park to come to the beach, you take taxes from your residents and this is the kind of beach you provide to them? This seaweed problem is not going away, maintain it like the other cities are doing Delray Beach! Shame on you!

I have lived in South Florida and Boca Raton since 1983 but Delray beach is by far my favorite Beach of all of South Florida. I highly recommend going to Atlantic Avenue all the way down to Linton Boulevard off A1A. The beaches are astounding! Sorry I go to the speech all the time I can't get enough of it. I feel connected with the Lord, my higher power. It's crazy that there's more Ocean than there is dry land. Also I want to add pick up your trash the ocean IS NOT your dump.!
