Julia davis park plays host to a wide assortment of facilities that offer entertainment and education for all. Zoo Boise has been a staple for animal conservation and rehabilitation for decades and offers plenty of fun activities for the young and old. The Idaho State Museum prides itself on its archival and preservation of historical documents/artifacts/exhibits. The Boise Art museum offers a chance to broaden your horizons and learn the faculties of art and the artists that create it. The Black History Museum educates us on the struggle and obstacles faced by the black community, and how they will continue in fighting for equality in the face of oppression. If you're looking to educate and entertain the little ones, look no further than the discovery center of boise, located in the eastern quarter of the park, here they will teach your child the scientific laws, from how the lightbulb in the fridge works, to the cells that make up their body, they also play host to many fun travelling attractions. For a more relaxed and leisurely activity, take the pedal boats out on the duck pond and cruise along the ducks and geese. There are plenty of amenities for park goers to enjoy (pavilions, restrooms, walking paths and playgrounds). The park itself is home to the Treefort music festival, art in the park, goddessfest and many other fun and enjoyable events. You will always find something to do at...

This is a great place to visit. Not only is their the rose garden, my personal favorite. They also have. The black history museum, art museum, zoo and boise history museum here. It's a great place for kids or just people who enjoy history, art, or zoos. There's also the green belt near by. They also have different events here. Art in the park and the goddess festival to name a few. Over all a good experience all around.

The one thing I feel like I have to mention. This is in no ways the park's doing. Their normally good at keeping the park pretty clean, however when walking into the park their was a dead squirrel in the grass near by that disturbed me.

Again the park is normally really good at cleaning. I wanted to bring it up just because I was hoping to make the staff at the park aware its their if they read this. I've lived here since I was little and have been to the park about a thousand times. I asure you, they don't normally have dead squirrels lying around. Liveing ones? Yes, geese even? Unfortunetly yes.

In short, they have so much to do at the park and keep the park pretty clean on a regular basis. If they did I wouldn't have given the...

My granddaughter (2 years old) was visiting and my wife and I took her to Zoo Boise with her parents. The admission price was not expensive. The grounds were clean and well kept. We visited on a weekday so there was no problem with crowds.

The animals were housed in nice enclosures that allowed for very close-up viewing. I was amazed to stand next to a window and have a Bengal tiger walk by just on the other side. My granddaughter loved the Red Pandas and the Giraffe. Most of the exhibits had inside and outside viewing so visiting in varied weather should be available.

The employees I interacted with were cheerful and helpful. The food options were limited but outside food is allowed. Drinking fountains are available at all the restrooms. Free ice water is available at the shack bar by the entry.

Very kid friendly. They have experiences available to feed some of the animals. Small extra cost. Souvenirs and snacks are a little pricey. Very fun family...

I've been going to this park since I was a little girl. This is my favorite park because of its large shade trees, ponds, paddle boats, ducks, and geese. The Boise River runs right next to it with bike paths. the Boise art museum, band shell, rose garden, playgrounds, the Idaho Historical museum, and Zoo Boise. There's also other events held here like "Art in the Park", with vendors and food trucks. The park always provides plenty of Porta-pottys and information booths. There are plenty of parking areas and shuttles provided for special events. I feel safe when I visit. It's a great place to spend the day.

This is one of the best parks I’ve ver been to. Mature trees and nicely landscaped. The history posts are awesome. For someone like me who’s visiting from out of state it was nice to see a little bit of history. The rose garden is kept up and I applaud whoever the gardeners are that take care of the garden. It’s amazing. The oddly colored blue water fountains are pretty too. They just remind me of port-a-potty blue water. Maybe a purple or pink would’ve been better. Also, the goose poop. It’s everywhere. But I didn’t take a star off for that. Just a caution to people walking around.
