We generally had a great experience at The Wylder! The food was excellent, great taste and great quality. I did wish for a few more options on the pizza menu, but what we ordered was all delicious! The service was amazing, our server was very quick and responsive even though they were busy. We had one vegan family member and our server suggested a vegan option that was not on the menu that turned out to be delicious! The drinks were wonderful as well. Some of the issues I have were things the restaurant can control, some were not, but might still affect the dining experience if you choose to eat here. For one, the wait was a little longer than we were told it would be. Not necessarily the restaurant or hosts’s fault because the party at the table we were going to be seated at likely took longer to leave than expected, but maybe they could give customers a longer estimated wait time to accurately set our expectations for the wait. Again, not necessarily their fault, but did impact our experience just slightly. Second, we were sat at a large table that sat 8 people and we were a party of 8. Instead of giving us the whole table, a random separate party of 2 was sat at the last 2 seats of the table and 2 of our party were squeezed onto the end. It was very strange, we understand they were trying to sit as many people as they could on a busy night but we felt a little awkward sitting at a table with strangers with only a planter separating us when our party could have taken up the entire table and been much more comfortable. It was very hot in loud inside the restaurant as well. The heat is not their fault but I would suggest turning the music down especially on a busy night. We met for dinner so we could talk and had a hard time hearing one another. This did not affect my rating but might sway your choice if a place to meet for dinner to talk and catch up is something you are looking for. The place was crowded even on a Sunday night which is a testament to a great restaurant, I will definitely return as the food was amazing and I think it would be a great...
Read moreWent here for lunch after hearing great things, but was completely disappointed. There were a few larger families that appeared to be finishing there lunch, but certainly wasn't "hopping" on a friday night kinda feel. The wait staff was slow, we were never checked-up on by our waitress, and it took the food forever to come out. I watched as the staff wondered around trying to look busy without actually doing anything. Walking plates and silverware back and forth from the kitchen to the island in the center of the room. I watched as they folded napkins rather then making sure our drinks were filled. I watch staff members take empty or partially drank water bottles from tables they cleared off to the island, then take them to the bar to be refilled. Ours had floating yuck in it. After waiting an hour for a sandwich and a pizza, we were about to call our order off, pay for drinks and leave when it finally arrived. I opted for a salad that was drenched and I do mean drenched in oil. I ordered the "Godmother" salami/pepperoni/provolone/pickled fresno chili/pickled red onion/oregano vin. It was all lettuce and bread. the pickled onion had no pop, and the fresno chili didn't exist. For 14 dollars I would have expected more. My guest ordered the honey badger pizza. The crust was uneven in thickness and uneven in cooking because of it. The center was raw and the thinner areas overly cooked. It was dry. The waitress dropped off the bill, didn't say a word to us, we paid and left unsatisfied. What was most surprising was the wait, most people if lucky have an hour lunch break, I couldn't imagine trying to race back to work with my food in hand because I had no...
Read moreOh my lanta. I've been wanting to try this place for almost two years now and FINALLY I have!! I wish I hadn't waited so long, it's just so far way though from where we normally dine. But the husband and I made it a lunch spot date today and we are both so glad we did! For starters to share we ordered the every night salad and we loved it! It was a big salad, so enough to share. We ordered the honey badger pizza, it was pretty yummy. Definitely has that sweet note at the end with the honey, we enjoyed it. We both agreed it wouldn't be one we'd order every time. It was a fun one to try though. My favorite was the crispy pepperoni (drool worthy). That tomato marinara sauce they make from organic tomatoes, chefs kiss. It's so so good! My husband thought the pepperonis were a little strong but I kindly disagreed with him lol if you get anything from this review, please don't be like me and go try this place ASAP!!!
Updated: 2/23/23 Came back to say we’ve been a couple more times and it still rocks. Great service, never gone without water on the table as they are always refilling. Tried their Margherita pizza and we agreed that was the best out of the 3 we’ve tried. Also have had their kale Caesar and wylder chopped salad. Of course kale being bitter, it was a great salad I thought but the picky husband didn’t care for kale. We both loved their chopped salad though! Very very good. Love this place and so excited to hear they are coming...
