Ordered a $1500 rocking recliner - 3 and half weeks ago. Sales process was smooth. Scheduled delivery. Chair came and all seemed well. That evening sat/rocked in that chair and a very loud squeaking noise began.
Call customer service, "we will send you another chair". Great. Sent another chair, same thing happening, and at this point want to return and get a refund. Was told, "you have to have a service person come out to see if they can fix it first, we will get that setup for you". Fair enough but days went by no-one reached out. Call store back, "Send us a picture of the chair and we will do it". Ok. Sent picture of chair. Service people call, but I was unable to answer as I was in a meeting. Left a voicemail, "Try removing the spring then adjust the bar... if you can't fix it then we will look into sending someone out". No - now I really just want a refund.
Call store back and I state to them what was said and they responded with, "Well we have one on the showroom floor and it doesn't squeak." Ok. Please process my refund. They state, "We will give you your refund upon scheduling the return." Scheduled the return for Friday. Then was told you will get your refund on Friday after we receive the chair. Also, the $100 delivery fee for the chair you told us a week ago you didn't want (I am paraphrasing here out of frustration) is non-refundable, but feel free to call the service number to get your money back for that.
This has been my experience thus far and it has been disappointing. My wife and I have bought 2 couches and a love seat from La-Z-Boy in the past and haven't had any issues. However, I am really disappointed with the situation in...
Read moreAsheville NC store, If I could rate less than one star, I would. They delivered the wrong leather loveseat to my house with my new leather sofa and chair. I called and spoke with the Salesman who spoke to his manager and said we'll get the new one out, but it will take around three months. Just keep that one as a loaner. I did as I was told, which was a huge mistake. I should've known better. I kept calling and emailing asking when the new loveseat would arrive. I sent copies of my text and emails with me saying what I had ordered and the salesman confirming he had ordered the wrong item and I would get what I ordered. The manager of the Asheville, North Carolina franchise told me they would not be honoring what the salesman told me because I was not charged for the loveseat that I actually ordered. I was charged for the wrong one and I'll be keeping the wrong one. I tried to go to customer service and to corporate to help me get resolution to my problem, but La-Z-Boy proved to me in no uncertain terms that all they care about is the original sale not their customers or Quality. I have had friends come over and say how do you like your new and I have told everyone to avoid La-Z-Boy like the plague. I will not recommend them to anyone. The Asheville store needs a complete overhaul in management and sales people. If you tell them in text the exact item you want and they confirm in text that is what you will be receiving, but they don't order the right product, A customer should not have to keep the wrong item. That is a Salesman mistake in either La-Z-Boy or the franchise itself should have to absorb that cost and make the...
Read moreWe went to La-Z-Boy first and met a young man named Ty Brown. He was thoughtful, took his time, knew his products, and didn't throw on the the heavy salesman. After looking at couches and seeing prices we were sold on comfort but not price(just for us, not that he wasn't doing a good job. We haven't purchased furniture in a long time). We left and went to rooms to go. Now we are talking prices. We were greeted and turned loose in the store. The whole room sets were the price of the couch we badly wanted at La-Z-Boy. We sat on the couches and they were not comfortable. Things looked nice but it was cheap and we realized we wanted something better. We also wanted a sales person with us talking about quality and guarantee. I told my husband they probably let you look alone because it's the price that sells rather than the quality. We left and no one stopped us. We went right back across the street. I spotted Ty, and loudly said "Mr. Brown we want that couch!" It was delivered right on time for us to move in to our new house. The gentlemen who delivered the couch put it together for me, made sure I knew exactly how it worked before they left. They were really awesome guys!
My neighbors have sat on it and want one. My husband can't decide if he loves the chase or the recliner part of it the best. All 4 of us fit on the couch and can spread comfortably. My husband being 6'4, son 6'0 and daughter 5'7 and me the tiny one at 5'3. The couch was still under 5k with a life time guarantee and free parts. Yeah I will take that over cheap furniture at rooms to go!
Thank you to Ty Brown and the Delivery team! We are...
