This is more like a 4.7 review but since partial points aren't an option I went with five as it was really a great time. First, left me say they run on schedule. They said line up an hour prior to your show to insure a good seat as they are first come, first serve. Even if you have a reservation, seating is first come, first serve so the earlier your in line the better chance of a close seat. The doors opened promptly thirty minutes before the show. The line was already quite long. The show started right on time. While being seated the wait staff (extremely friendly and efficient) takes drink orders (unlimited draft beer and soft drinks), then salad and unlimited pizza. I will say, the points I deducted were for the pizza. Although piping hot when it arrived. The dough was more akin to cardboard. Thank gosh the pepperoni and cheese masked the taste of the dough! But honestly I wasn't there for the pizza. It was A bonus. The show lasted about 60 minutes and was very funny. Mr Brent I believe was his name, kept the attention of the crowd and often called on guests to help perform magic tricks. Again, as long as you aren't going to for the pizza alone you'll come out very happy. Again, this isn't a long drawn out magic show. It's a one hour jokes and magic show that definitely surpassed my expectations. Highly recommend. On a side note save yourself some money and buy the Go City Orlando pass. I was able to include this show plus Wonder Works (same building) and one other attraction for far less than regular...
Read morePhillip Kaiser, the magician, put on a 5 star show. He was charming and engaging, and his magic tricks were very impressive. He did a great job involving the audience and put on an overall great show. I would definitely recommend him for a private event.
I knocked off a star for some of the other aspects of the experience.
The food was poor quality, which was expected with unlimited food at the price point, but it was worse than expected. I would rather pay a higher price and not have unlimited to get a meal that is more pleasant to eat.
The audience was a huge deterrent from returning. While I know WonderWorks does not decide who chooses to patronize their establishment, I do think their could be some protocol in place. Children standing on lightweight chairs with parents shoving them to try to get the magician's attention for volunteers could have been encouraged to keep to their seats for safety. Their behavior was distracting and unsafe to themselves and other guests. Moreover, the woman who hurled a racist insult at one of the volunteers on stage and then proceeded to laugh about it with another guest really needed to be removed. Basic civility should be required.
I would return for Phillip Kaiser, but I would prefer to see him in a classier environment with better food and a...
