Let’s start with the rooms: the carpet in my first room was soaking wet. Not damp — soaked through. When I brought this to the front desk, I was moved to another room — and it had the exact same issue. This wasn’t a fluke. This hotel has a serious, ongoing leak problem that has been ignored for far too long. As a result, there was a strong mildew smell permeating the hallways and rooms — a clear sign of moisture damage and potential mold. This is a major health concern and a clear indication of complete negligence.
We were told at check-in that snacks at the front desk were included as an amenity. By the very next morning, they were removed — despite being specifically promoted by the front desk agent. This is deceptive and completely unprofessional.
What’s worse, I repeatedly witnessed a manager — not just a staff member, a manager — in a black Dodge parking directly by the awning instead of in a proper parking space. She left her vehicle there for extended periods multiple times per day, blocking the pathway and preventing guests from being picked up without standing in the pouring rain. This kind of entitled behavior is shameful and reflects a total breakdown in leadership and hospitality standards.
The elevator was another safety hazard — it groaned, rattled, and felt like it could stop at any moment. The air conditioning inside didn’t work, leaving it hot, stuffy, and claustrophobic. Between the state of the elevator and the water damage in the rooms, it honestly felt like this hotel is on the verge of falling apart.
And despite all this, they have the nerve to charge $15 per night for parking. Where is that money going? Because it’s clearly not being spent on maintenance, cleanliness, or guest comfort.
This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The neglect, dishonesty, and poor management on display here are unacceptable. If Marriott cares at all about its reputation, it will take immediate action. Until then, I strongly warn others to avoid this property at all costs. I wouldn’t return if they paid me to stay.
Not for building maintenance. My room smelled like mildew and mold and the A/C hardly worked which is probably why it’s leaking. Overall, this is the WORST Marriott I’ve been too and I’ve been to some pretty bad ones in not so great neighborhoods. They deserve to have their franchise...
Read moreThis hotel has been very disappointing. I use to book and stay here all the time with my travel team but it's been about two years since I've said here and maybe it has new management or something. Christian checked us in, he was very nice and helpful and had great customer service. We went into one room and it smelled like mold as I looked around I noticed mold on the pullout sofa so I called to be moved. Which Christian did with no problem. Get to the second room and the shower rail is rusty and peeling at the bottom, it looked very disgusting but after a long drive from NYC I just decided to stay in that room. Around 2am I received another $20 charge on my card I called downstairs and spoke to assistant manager William who was very rude. He went back and forth with me, was very rude and basically told me Christian is new and didn't input my $20 Incidental fee right and therefore he needed to charge another $20 incidental fee so that his system could recognize the fee he told me that if he did not do that I will be charged the full night stay which I had already been paid for before we made it to the hotel. I repeatedly asked him why did he not let me know what was going on and he said that he doesn't call guest after 9 but I went to the front desk at 11 and he never mentioned it and he said be wasn't thinking about it at that time although Christian made him aware before be left. You Dont call guest after 9 but you charged their card after 9 without there approval? William has horrible customer service and did not handle me as he should have. Now here it is days later and my card gets charged $10.65 so I call and the lady tells me sounds like parking fee. Christian did not tell me about a parking fee when checking in. How did they even know I had a car on property I was never asked. I am very disappointed in this hotel and the way they kept charging my card and the upkeep...
Read moreIf could give fewer then zero stars I would. Tried mobile check in which failed, arrived to find we would have to wait until 7pm for a room to be ready.
Our sink was plugged and never repaired, had to spit into toilet when brushing teeth etc., to keep it from getting totally disgusting or overflowing. Our 3rd floor room flooded during a rain, & I am not exaggerating, water higher then the carpet pile stretched 4+ feet into room from exterior wall, everything on floor was so soaked I could actually wring the water out of it. Multiple other rooms reported same issue, and we all assumed this is an ongoing issue as room had distinct smell & many guests were complaining of sinus issues. One of 2 elevators was broken 3 of 5 days, and it was also the elevator shared with housekeeping. Had to take stairs which is totally fine HOWEVER Standing water on all floors of stairwell- NEVER any signage and NEVER any evidence of mopping or drying attempts & we were there for 4 nights. Know of at least one person who slipped on the puddles and thankfully was uninjured as she was an athlete playing in nationals. Avoid 3rd floor rooms as they are at eye level with mega spotlights around the pool that never turn off, lights so bright that Even the blackout curtains could not darken room. We stay in hotels at least 15 times a year, this is by far the most neglected We have seen-not up to any Marriott property standard that I have experienced in the last 5 years of regular travel. That combined with the utter indifference and lack of responsibility taken for potentially dangerous slip and fall situations was astonishing. On the bright side everyone who works there is extremely friendly, especially the women at the front desk- I don’t know how they deal with the constant complaints they must field. We did receive a small discount after speaking to manager, but far from offsets the yuck...
