Took my daughters to see Transformers One about a month and a half ago. A "Meh" experience... Food took a LONG TIME to prepare.... (It's only chicken tenders. You know you're only nuking them in the microwave...) The picture quality was mediocre and we had to pay for our food separately AFTER having paid well over $100 for THREE (count em, 3!!!) TICKETS! Crazy! Meanwhile, today, I was pricing Moana 2 tickets (I'd rather be seeing Red One, but kids, right?) and started with Regal MOG, the IMAX version and these nuts want almost $30 for the adult tickets and almost $25 for the kids tickets; AND WE STILL WOULD HAVE NEEDED TO PAY FOR FOOD SEPARATELY! Then, I looked at the Regal Hamilton Mills, but they don't have IMAX and I didn't want to be bothered with 3D, so, I priced for Standard, right? While this was A BIT more reasonable, the 4 tickets (2 adults, 2 children) STILL totaled $12 MORE ($13.99 adults + $12.99 children PLUS a $1.89 fee...PLUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSS taxes) than AMC Colonial 18... Then, to add wallet insult to wallet injury, I go BACK TO the Regal MOG website, to look at the same standard Moana 2, and what do mine eyes behold? These CROOKS, for the SAME EXACT MOVIE, charge $15.99 adults and $14.49 children + a $1.89 fee, respectively, PLUS TAX!!!! Really, Regal? It's no wonder y'all recently filed Chapter 13 and why your seats are 97% EMPTY for most movies! You all had BETTER lower your prices, PRONTO or your cinemas will CEASE TO EXIST... This crap is ridiculous!

This movie has 2022 prices with 1950 theaters.... Something is not adding up... And did I mention its no freaking air.. or air circulation... Yea I definitely needed a refund for this BS.... But we stayed and watched... No reclining chairs... No comfortable chairs.. it was like sitting on a crate for hours.... Hard and just uncomfortable and unbearable..... The popcorn was stale and no butter even though I asked for it .. It was just disappointment after disappoinment.... The bathrooms were really clean though... Thats probably the only reason for the One star because I would have gave zero if I could.... Definitely would not recommend for long movies... Or period we paid for IMAX but it didnt seem like it... also the movie wasnt supposed to start til 355 at 330 the movie has already started....

Going through the ticket line I am stopped in my tracks as the Manager stops the couple next to me stating that he needed to look in her purse. Dumbfounded about what could be going on I stopped in my tracks trying to figure out what was happening. I watch the woman question the Manager why he would need to look in her purse.

The manager response is startling; “It is a security check Ma’am, I need to check your bag for weapons. The woman relents and the Manager begins digging through her purse with a flashlight.

I began comparing the woman to myself. Why I was I let through while she was stopped and searched. I still didn’t’ see what would make her a ‘security issue’ while I was waved right through. I made up my mind. Full of self-righteousness and disgust for what is going on, I take a step towards the manager when I hear something that stops me again; “I need to check your bag Ma’am.”

I look back over my shoulder to find my wife has caught up to me and is standing there with her purse opened to another theatre employee. My indignation fades for a brief moment in the confusion as I notice there is a line that has formed and employees are rushing up to women demanding each one opens their purses for inspection. My anger burns hotter than ever as I continue to watch some random person digging through my wife’s handbag. Before I realize it I am shouting at the whole line “This is an invasion of privacy. This is not right!!!” The manager turns to me long enough to say this is a security matter and goes back to tossing women’s purses. Still in shock at what I am I watching I prepare to object again as my wife is released from her inspection. Emboldened by their perceived power the 16-year old ticket taker follows up his Managers statement proudly declaring, “This is private property we can do what ever we want” and begins laughing at my rage.

I loose all my senses continuing my protest to this invasion of privacy, declaring that I will never return to this theatre as my wife and friend pull me away towards the auditorium. Realizing that I have really embarrassed my wife and friend I put my tail between my legs and timidly walk to my movie.

I sit irritated through the movie and as the credits start to roll I declare how I am still stuck on the searches and couldn’t enjoy the movie. My friend starts a dialog saying he wasn’t sure it was such a big deal and we debate back and forth about the importance of privacy. I am not making much progress convincing him when I stumbled upon the idea that it was actually a very bad security check.

I point out that they only looked into women’s purses, and that I could have easily concealed a gun in my waist band under my oversized shirt and no body even looked at me once as I walked right past the ticket taker. A moment later the conversation evolves into how bad of a security check they did and how much better of a job they would do with a metal detector or security wand instead of digging through peoples belongings.

As the movie credits rolled on; our conversation continues and we all started to realize the same disturbing conclusion. They weren’t looking for guns or weapons, they didn’t bother checking anything besides women’s purses and bags, and even then they only shuffling through the large center pocket and nothing else. Any one of else could have easily walked into that theatre with a knife or a gun and no one would have noticed or said a thing because they were too busy looking for people trying to smuggle in outside candy and concessions. I am not sure which part makes me more enraged the fact that they invaded everyone’s personal privacy over protecting their profits, or that they did it under a guise of “Security” playing on the fears of people in the light recent...

Today I had accidentally left my bank card at the theater.

After leaving and me realizing, I had called the theater to let them know which auditorium I was in where I sat and they stated that noone has turned it in and I could come back to search for it.

After walking into the theater and it being exactly where I stated it was, I asked to speak with the general manager. I thought that their customer service could have used some work if someone calls to let them know a bank card was left and they explained where it was, a worker should go and grab it to put it behind a counter to prevent theft. Kaylin disagreed and stated that Regal is not responsible for any personal items left behind and directed me to the website rules and regulations. I explained that I understand that, however if someone knows where it is and are on there way back why not have a worker go get said item (especially a bank card) and have it put away safely while people are entering the theater for the next showing. He then directed me back to the website to view rules and regulations. I asked him if that is his only response and he said yes. I let him aware I would be contacting regal to let them know of the occurance.

Customer relations was closed and does not have voicemail so I called back to get the direct line to speak with the district manager. I was placed on hold when Jeff picked up 7 minutes later. I asked Jeff if he was the district manager and he replied yes. (I had him on speaker with a witness for this confirmation) I explain what had happened, he cut me off and said I can give you the district manager number. I replied back that I thought he was. He said no he denied ever stating he was, yelled at me for implying he had and hung up one me.

I then called back and was hung up on before anyone answering.

I called back, Jeff answered, gave me the district managers number but kept correcting numbers while reading it. I had asked if I could read it back for confirmation due to the fact that he kept correcting numbers. He then yelled at me again telling me to never call this theater again.

I was not aggressive, I do have a respiratory problem so I cannot even get loud currently so I do not understand why I was treated in this manner. I was very calm throughout everything, even with all of the misguided...

If I could leave zero stars, I would.

Tl;dr: Movie screen shut off in the middle of the movie, and to this day, still don’t know what happened during the rest of the movie.

I arrived to Regal-Mall of GA around 10:30pm to watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. I walked into my theater and all the lights were on (which was expected). I figured that the lights would turn off when the movie officially started. They didn’t. I waited 10 mins into the movie until I couldn’t take it anymore and went to the front counter to get an associate. I had to make this trip twice because the lights remained on after the first trip (With looking for an associate and waiting for help, I had missed 20 mins at this point). Eventually, the lights were finally turned off.

Then, at the climax of the movie, you wouldn’t believe it… the theater went dark and the movie turned off. Other viewers and I thought that this was part of the movie. We waited for the screen to come back on. It didn’t. We thought maybe there was a power outage since it was raining outside. We walked out of our theater only to see that the lights were still on in the hallway, and we heard movies playing in other theaters. We tried to find an associate, but not one was in sight. The concessions stands were closed, and the front desk was empty. Other viewers decided to leave. It was so late at this point that I also ended up going home having only watched half the movie.

You can imagine my frustration given that I had missed a good amount of the movie’s beginning, missed the most pivotal point of the movie, and couldn’t watch the rest of the movie.

I tried to contact both the Regal-Mall of GA and corporate Regal, but neither answered. In fact, Regal MOG hung up on me several times. I attempted to call both numbers 9 times in total, and not once did I get an answer. I sent an email to corporate Regal, so we will see where this goes.

I’m deeply disappointed in this theater and Regal, as I have been attending their theaters for years. I have never had a movie cut off on me WHILE watching it in theaters. As it stands today, I am still waiting to watch what happens next on Black Panther:...
