Edited 12/14/22: The manager Sarah contacted me today and addressed my concerns with the pricing of long and layered hair. She informed me that they won't be charging extra for scissor cut in the future and that she also was kind enough to offer my next cut complimentary. I also work in hospitality and I truly appreciate management that listens to feedback and trys to keep their clientele happy and coming back. Thank you for giving me a reason to stay loyal to Well Groomed Gentleman.
Edited 12/13/22: After coming here consistently for over 3 years I now have to reconsider whether I will be back. The shop is now under New Management and they have raised the prices for a simple trim with scissors from $45 to $85. My stylist Yuly is excellent as always. She kindly explained to me before my session began that the new management had raised the price for anything that is not a buzz cut or fade by $40. The type hair I have does not do well with those styles of cuts. Never in my life have I been told that simply because my barber or stylist needs to use scissors instead of clippers they need to charge me almost double the regular price. Most barber shops or salons offer the option of a trim which is typically lower in cost than a full haircut. It's hard to continue going here despite the excellent service when I can simply walk down the street and get the same trim for the price I used to pay. Please reconsider this new policy as I'm sure you will lose customers.
Previous 5 Star Review: I've been going here for almost 2 years now. No matter which barber I go to the cut is immaculate. I highly recommend the shop for a person that cares on how they look and isn't afraid on how they spend. You also get great service as well as a drink of...
Read moreI am giving this place 1 star because of the poor management and bad business practices. Management here does not care about its customers. I purchased a membership soley for massage services about 10 months ago which was supposed to give you one massage per month and any massages you dont use roll over to the next month. I am a busy person who works very hard so there were some months that I did not use my services which accrued and I currently had 6 services left on my membership. It came as quite a surprise to me that when I went in for my last massage I was told this service would be discontinued within the next 10 days or so since the business was moving in a different direction. All good if they decided to move in a different direction but guess who is paying for it. I spoke to a manager and explained that I would not be able to schedule 6 massages in the next ten days. I have a full time job and other responsibilities and do not have the leisure to force myself to overdose on massages within a short period of time because of their decision to discontinue a service that I had no intentions of canceling. To sum it up I paid for services I will never receive and management does not have any human compassion to make things right. This kind of greed is not uncommon but I did have higher expectations. It is important for me to note that they did tell me I could use my services for haircuts or manicures ect however I do not enjoy manicures and I am loyal to my own barber of 10 yrs and did not purchase the membership for anything other than massages. If youâre looking for a good barbershop that truly values customers stay away from here and go to churchills barber shop. They blow...
Read moreI usually get my haircut at a barber shop near my house for just $20 but I have a special event I'm going to and decided to go to a "so called" professional salon and see if maybe they do a little extra to make you look good especially for the amount of money they ask for, the hairdresser also recommended to dye my hair I also said yes thinking maybe they will do it more professionally, I always get my hair dye at Walgreen's called just for men for $10, yes they do wash your hair but I don't think washing someone's hair should be expensive, when the cut was done it looked no different then what any barber shop would do and I dye my own hair better, the hairdresser left white hair when I never do! I should have dyed it myself! At the end my total was $90 I could have saved $60 on top of that they asked if I wanted to leave gratuity they must not be serious I'm sure the hairdresser gets paid very well if the price was $90 how dare they ask for gratuity! Barber shops are more professional then this salon, one of the hairdresser's was sitting in the bar with earphones on and the receptionist was yelling at her that a customer needed a haircut after the receptionist was done she removed her ear piece and said excuse me and the receptionist had to repeat herself again the manager at the barber shop I go to would never allow a staff to have earphones on. This place is a waste of money and in my opinion if they are going to ask for all this money they need to do a better job in dying hair, cutting and styling hair to make the customer look amazing and the staff be more professional around customers. Never wasting my time and money on this...
