HORRIBLE CUSTUMER SERVICE and we were even robbed. My family and I used to go regularly to this place because my husband works at the Coronado base, but we WILL DEFINITELY NEVER COME BACK. We went there today, Sunday, around 6 p.m. and there was a young woman and a young man. The girl was extremely rude to us. She would have a horrible attitude and drop the bowls very rudely on the counter. I asked her if my dad could try the mojito one and made an angry face and would not give us a sample. I asked her again for a sample, and she rolled her eyes and very rudely did it. Additionally, we feel robbed because she served our bowls with ice cream, not even on the top of the bowls, and we had to pay for the full, normal price. I should've taken a pic of all of our bowls to show how little the scoops that she served us were. We saw that other people were served ice cream above the bowl (big scoops). We had been served good ice cream scoops in the past, but by other people. We noticed that she served big scoops of ice cream (above the top of the bowl) to others. We came to the conclusion that she is a horrible person and a racist because the other customers who were white were treated differently and their ice cream bowls were served very big above the top, but she mistreated us and served our ice cream bowls very small because we are Hispanics. We will never come back, and we tell our friends not to go there too since the customer service is very bad. Customer service is extremely important for a business, and I see that most of the complaints are because of bad customer service. I can see that the owners do not care about their customers. Read moreWe’re at this ice cream shop right now. The woman taking our order got upset for some reason, and there was a disagreement about the order. She started acting in a strange, tense, and hard-to-understand way. Then, she began staring at my 11-year-old son in a very intense way. He felt extremely uncomfortable and said, “Why is that woman staring at me like that?”
When we asked her, “What’s wrong? Why are you staring at him like that?” she got angry and started saying things like, “I’m human too.” Then she threw the ice cream scoops she was holding into a small water container. It was honestly bizarre.
I wasn’t upset about the wrong order — I was upset about the way she stared at my son. We told her she couldn’t look at a child like that, and she became even more angry, started yelling, and stormed off.
I had already started eating one of the ice creams, otherwise I would’ve just left. But we hadn’t even paid yet, so we felt like we had to wait. It was such a ridiculous situation.
Then someone from the restaurant next door came over and helped calm things down. We explained what had happened, and they kindly offered us a dessert at their place. We thanked them, but honestly, we don’t want to go back there again.
Are their ice creams good? I really couldn’t say — the whole experience was ruined by this completely...
Read moreArrived at a busy weekend, line was long and taking a while (which happens )when we arrived near the counter noticed one staff handling both the serving and charging while the other staff was “trying” to find her size in uniform and “trying” to put chairs in (she failed to accomplish both) . The customers (also the staffs acquaintances) ahead of me paid for their gelato after they were done chatting and it was 10:32 . Staff proceeds to tell the next costumers (10) that she was done at 10:30 and she was done serving .customers were upset so was I since we had been in the store prior to the close time and the door had remained open leading to costumers still walking in I would of understood had she gave a warning prior.she madly served the rest of us .. after customers complained ..all of this could of been avoided with adequate staff training .. the gelato 🍧 is delicious 🤤 the flavors taste like the real thing highly recommed but the fact that I was turned away after waiting for 30 min had me almost miss that delicious experience please please improve the training in the staff they need...
