Handzy Shop + Studio — Attraction in Covington

I visited this boutique in Covington, Kentucky, and while the store is charming with a well-curated selection of cute items, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I saw numerous things I could have easily purchased, and it was hard to walk away. However, the complete lack of basic customer service stopped me in my tracks. Despite spending a significant amount of time browsing, the staff member didn’t greet, acknowledge, or offer any assistance—even when standing directly in front of me.

As someone with an economics background, I understand how the free market works. Businesses that fail to deliver the most basic level of customer service are naturally weeded out. In this case, it’s clear why this boutique likely struggles to get customers, and it won’t take long for it to fail entirely if this level of indifference persists.

I suspect this place may be nothing more than someone’s wife’s pet project, likely a tax write-off in the books of a wealthier man’s larger business. While the store’s potential is there, without a fundamental understanding of customer engagement and service, it’s hard to see how this boutique will survive in the competitive...

Handzy is the perfect boutique. I recommend it to people constantly and live my life in a continual state of browsing new arrivals and making purchases in their online store. The owners are ambitious, kind, and always striving to improve in any way they can. Handzy provides those pieces that make my closet unique, and warrant the most compliments from strangers and loved ones alike. It is where I source a good percentage of my gifts and cards, and where I can always treat myself. The staff ALWAYS greet me, and make me feel welcome and valued. They are constantly pumping out new arrivals, all the while chatting up customers. If you stop in, ask them to help you curate a gift - they’ve got a knack for it :) It feels nice to put my money into a small, woman-owned business; I love knowing I’m supporting two besties (and their families) who just want to brighten your day. Love this shop & these gals! I mean who doesn’t love BFF’s and cute stuff?! Suzy & Brittany have done an amazing job translating their bright and fun personalities into a fun and vibrant shopping experience! I first found out about them when their store was on Pike Street, and their new location in Mainstrasse is even bigger and brighter with room for so many more lovely things to choose from. I often stop in for their great selection of greeting cards or when I just need a cute gift. Last time I was there I purchased the best smelling lotion, a rose scent, and will definitely be heading back to pick up a new scent soon.
