Truly some of the finest pizza you’ll ever find, and that’s coming from a NJ native. I was only disappointed by the attitude of the staff during my visit. The fellas making and serving the pizza were agreeable, friendly, and there to do their job. No problems there. Unfortunately, the cashier was abrupt, rude, and oddly short (not in the way of height, but in his tone and commentary). For those of you curious if it was a tipping issue, it was not. My experience happened all prior to tip, and I still put money in the tip jar. Not sure who or what got under this guy’s skin, but I was just there to grab a couple slices. It’s tough to frequent a place where you don’t feel welcome, even if you love the food. For me, and many others, the experience is just as important, or more important, than the food. I hope the big boys are reading this and have a heartfelt serious talk with the cashiers before more people with softer innards than me get a bad taste in their mouth. I can deal with a lot but I’ve got about zero tolerance fer an uncalled for bad attitude. The customers that are able to get out during this pandemic are grateful to have a place to go, so it would be nice to have even a little of that positivity reciprocated. Customers come in all shapes and sizes, too. Just because someone is older and a little slower doesn’t mean they should be met with an impatient or condescending attitude. This is long winded but important. I love goodfellas pizza, but it needs to be said that we still need to treat each other like humans. Thank you...
Read moreTHE MOST RACIST EXPERIENCE I have experienced in all of my life!!!!!!! My fiancé and I patronized Goodfellas with high anticipation and highly requested between the two of us for our night on the town. When we entered the establishment, we were the only ones inside. As we approached to order, I had to use the restroom and my fiancé received a phone call and stepped back briefly. As I swiftly returned from the restroom we placed an order for a Large Pepperoni and was told it would be 40 min wait. simultaneously a bunch of party goers entered the establishment. We stated that instead of waiting 40 mins we wanted the last 4 available Pepperoni slices. At this time someone behind us were trying to order the slices as well. The employee pictured with his phone out told me and my fiancé we need to go to the back of the line, which was well out of the door by this time. The employee proceeded to loudly embarrass and dismiss us in front of the entire establishment. The employee preparing the dough approached loudly telling us to get out before the cops were called. This oppressive behavior is unjust and these employees and this establishment should and will be held accountable for the discrimination that we experienced. Serving food and taking photos of customers in effort to taunt and control crosses so many ethical and health concerns. My fiancé and I will not only spread awareness about this experience, but we will be seeking justice. Many African Americans reside and patronize Covington, and we...
Read moreI had a great experience with Rebekah for dinner at Goodfellas. She was very knowledgeable on her bourbon. (I was disappointed they do not have any scotch) a great bartender and mixologist. I enjoyed watching her makes everyone drink.
I ordered a pizza as it is pizza week in Cincinnati and that’s was the reason I came. They had a truffle pizza for the special that sounded good. 15 min or so after I ordered, one of the pizza makers came up and said it would be an hour wait for anyone dining in. If we didn’t want to wait, we could go downstairs and order by the slice. I was ok with the wait as I had no time limit. A half hour or so went by and he came again asking who ordered the truffle pizza, it was me. He stated that they were out of mushrooms. (This was at 7pm during pizza week!!) how could they run out of ingredients for their only pizza with a topping other than cheese?
Rebekah assured me they had enough for my pizza and so I went with it. Unfortunately, when the pizza came, there were no mushrooms and I didn’t get any sausage that was supposed to be on there either…. For that, I have to knock the stars down. I would give it another shot but there are so many other places around that have great pizza, I’d have to be with a group that was going there to consider it.
Update: I sent (2) emails to the address in the response and have yet to hear anything back from either one of them. I have now changed my star rating from 3 to 1. Management seems to be the bad...
