My wife has her own online Boutique store and she has been going to the events at Market Center for a while now. She is always super excited to go, as is all her friends that get to go with her. I have wanted to go for a while, and got my chance yesterday evening. We arrived right before all the booths closed, so I didn't get to do a full walk around (hopefully will get to next time as there is a TON of stuff here) over 15 floors of permanent stores and for the show lots and lots of booths with various goodies. One store had some really cool survival items that I had a blast looking at, but the reals reason we came up was for the fashion show. This was really cool and the first time that I have gotten to go to one of these.
The fashion show was setup really neat as before the show started there was a screen telling a story, that looked like it was from a video game, telling what happens from 2200 - 2900, Various planets colonized, the new type of music and more. This played into the entire SuperNova fashion show. First off there was plenty of seating and the bar was free (tips were appreciated) so we enjoyed getting a few drinks while we waited until the show started. There was about 8 or so segments from various 'planets" kinda reminded me of Sing 2 in a way. Each planet had a different style of dress and grooming.
This was a really fun show to sit through. This is a great venue to have things like this. The only bummer is the lack of parking. We had to park next door, but at least we got in the garage. My wife was happy she didn't wear her heels yesterday as it was a bit of a trek in the heat, but other than that no real complaints. I have seen this building all my life and this was the first time I went in, in a way it reminded me of the old 'West End' shops, very cool inside with themes on different floors. Can't wait to go at the next showing, as her friends and mom already have dibs for the rest...
Read moreIf there were no, they first overcharged us on the tickets. We bought them at O'Reilly's and they charged us a dollar more than what even at the door price was when I requested my discount that I was supposed to get. They said no that was online. But it wasn't it was the regular price. I should have paid. Which was $3 cheaper. And then they charge me $20 a ticket, which it should have only been $19 a ticket. Then it was a car so there was not like it usually is we've been doing this for about 20 years for a Valentine's present for my husband. This year was terrible horrible. Not as many cars. The toy Rama that usually upstairs that they have Hot Wheels car models accessories toys was not even up there. No wrestler this year and there's always been a wrestler since we've been going. Just was not a good experience. We are very dissatisfied and I will see about getting my money back. Just terrible only thing that made Valentine's experience good was because I was with my husband of 23 years almost 24 years. God bless hope everybody hears this and enjoys it. I don't think you need to waste your money to go to this anymore. It's gotten worse. They have changed people that are handling. The renting of the spaces for the vendors We had a vendor say he rented upstairs all this time for tablespace for $200. He's downstairs in the right regular area thousand dollars for a two tables face. Something's wrong with this picture guys. Don't give him a whole lot of money if you...
