First time here. Came on a Saturday afternoon around 12 PM for brunch for a double date.
Parking is in the gated hotel parking which has a fee, but the front desk can validate the parking if you eat at the restaurant.
It was empty when we arrived & we were seated immediately.
Mimosa - Average taste. Good price.
Smoked Salmon Bagel - HUGE salmon pieces. Bagel was nicely toasted - not too toasted, not too underdone; lovely flavor. Cream cheese was very addicting - mixed with herbs. Served with a side of sliced potatoes, pickled red onions, red cabbage, & tomatoes - all separated on the plate in piles, so you can add whatever you want or don’t want. The portion was so big, I only ate half for brunch & had the rest for early dinner. I’d highly recommend this one.
44 Farms Brisket Burger - It was empty when we arrived, so we asked if they could make a burger which is normally on the lunch menu for brunch. Thankfully, the chef was nice enough to do so. Flavor was good. Pickles were excellent (even for someone who isn’t a big fan of pickles…my husband still ate them all). They taste homemade, on the thinner firmer side with a mildly sweet flavor & lighter than typical tartness.
Overall, service & food were excellent. On the pricier side - came to about $60 for two entrees & one drink, but it was still good. I’d recommend &...

The reason this place is getting 2 stars is because of our dinner visit.
We arrived and were quickly seated, the waitress brought us our beers and then disappeared for a while. When she came back,we ordered the bbq shrimp appetizer, it was decent, very different tasting. We ordered salads which were good, but had little to no dressing on it. By this point in our meal, our beers and waters were empty, our waitress would walk by our table and not acknowledge us. Finally our dinner came out. I was very underwhelmed. $42 for a steak, it was small and served on top of potatoes. The steak was bland and fatty. We didn't finish the whole meal, because at this point, we were still waiting on refills, and were quite annoyed.
The restaurant was not busy, there was some sorority event going on, so lots of tables of young girls, so that may have been the issue, but even at that, we were ignored most of our dinner.
We spent more time waiting on our check than we did eating our...
Read moreAsador is located in the Renaissance Hotel, convenient to downtown Dallas as well as other surrounding areas. The food is delicious and focuses on using local, seasonal and natural/organic ingredients that are fresh and free of preservatives, chemicals and hormones. The cuisine is a mix of Texas and North and South American flavors. The guacamole appetizer is excellent and garnished with pomegranates. One highlight is that they serve meats from 44 Farms, which is a local ranch offering ethically raised and natural beef. We enjoyed the seared salmon verlasso, 44 Farms filet and 44 Farms brisket burger. Many dishes are gluten free and they will gladly make dishes dairy free if possible. The hotel itself is beautiful. When we visited near Christmas, the lobby served warm apple cider and was decorated with gorgeous Christmas trees and other lights. The chandeliers are also beautiful. At the time we visited, they were renovating the restaurant space, so the dining room was set up in a ballroom with a large screen projecting sports games, which was nice. The bathrooms were very clean. Overall, we had a nice...
