AMC CLASSIC Jubilee Square 12 — Attraction in Daphne

I wasn’t going to post this, but I just want to warn other women or those that have young girls/teens that may be coming here alone. I went to see Wonka on a week day to avoid crowds, and something very scary happened. Three GROWN MEN were walking up and down my aisle (I was the only one in the aisle) asking for my popcorn, laid down on the seats next to me, made me very uncomfortable and scared. When they started going towards the two teenage girls in the theater I ran and told an employee. It doesn’t sound as bad in writing, but I promise it was very intimidating and uncomfortable. I will say the staff member handling it did a great job of removing them, but I ran out to my car in fear that they would wait for me in the parking lot. Shortly after I got to my car they came running towards me, and I peeled away. Movies are my favorite, and I go multiple times a month, but I haven’t gone in weeks because of this. I have been doing things on my own, traveled by myself for years, and have never had anything like this happen. Please be careful if you’re sending kids or teens here alone. I’ll make sure to bring pepper spray with me next time. Other than that, this is an okay theater. The popcorn is stale sometimes. Either they don’t turn any commercials on or they start the movie late sometimes. Also, the screen is supposed to expand at the beginning of the movie in some theaters, but they just project the movie over the extra boarders. Not the end of the world, mainly concerned...

Fix your sound. Fix your picture quality.

Sound quality is a HUGE issue if you are seeing a movie in any theater other than one of the large main theaters.. If you've ever been to even a semi-decent movie theater in your life, coming to this movie theater is always a let down. The sound stage in the theaters is janky. Volume is often way too low, and the balance is whacked, with the majority of sound coming from just one of the front side speakers, but never both, and definitely never the rear/side speakers. Listening to a movie with the sound coming from just the front left (or right) corner of the room is a huge disappointment when you spend $20-25/person w/ concessions to see a movie.

Picture quality is also greatly lacking. While you can make exceptions since they are using older equipment, we've watched a number of films that are slightly out of focus and blurry. 3D movies are also often dim and hard to see.

Apart from the quality of the movies, there also a number of theaters that have broken seating in the prime locations (2-5 rows up, dead center). When you're the only ones in the theaters, you should be able to sit where you want, and not have to accommodate poor facilities.

We've also had numerous times where the movie either never started, started without sound or the lighting never dimmed. Having to find an employee to remind them to do their job is...

Horrible service. Wish I could put 0 stars. Ordered online, me and another person visited this theatre today, between 6:00 and 6:30pm October 18, 2022. We had a pictures of our ID to see the Halloween Ends movie. Paid $40.48 for 2 tickets and when we got to the register, “Cass” told us we needed our physical IDs. So naturally we asked for a refund, and this is where the manager “Isaiah” comes in. He started explaining to us how we needed our physical IDs, (I get that there are rules but a picture of them should’ve done fine, it works at premiere and other theatres) So he started to do a refund, which he had to put onto a gift card, which is absolutely useless because I am never going to this location again, and the receipt said $10.96 in refunds. I was shocked at how unprofessional this all was. I then asked for a refund in the drinks and popcorn, where the manager “Isaiah” laughed multiple times asking us if we still wanted drinks and popcorn… So we told him we just wanted the refund, in which I received $24.06 onto another gift card, which is still $5 out of pocket all because we didn’t have our physical IDs. Walking out we could hear them whispering, staring, and laughing for no reason. I have been here many times before receiving the same service: condescending workers, dirty bathrooms, and just overall bad experiences. Just wanted to see a...
