We had our wedding reception at the River Center and I cannot explain how GREAT of an experience we had. We worked closely with Jennifer, who is simply amazing. She helped us and guided us throughout the entire process from all of our question upfront to determining food choices, lightening, and everything in between. On the day of set up, Jennifer and crew were amazing. They had all of the tables, linens, lights completely set up and ready for my crew to come in with table decor. She gave us OPTIONS and let us make the reception our own with all of her help. The night of the deception, Jennifer and TEAM were AMAZING. They were helpful, respectful, on point, quick, and ready to go. And the food, I cannot get over how many compliments we received on the food and the service of the River Center. After the reception, the River Center team was ready for pick up.
So grateful for the entire team. I cannot say enough amazing things about Jennifer and team, as they truly made the best day of our lives, even better. Jennifer was so helpful throughout the entire process, I am truly grateful for her expertise and patience. We would recommend the River Center to anyone we know. We had such a great experience and our wedding was filled with an amazing experience.
Thank you again, Matt & Kela...
Read moreThe staff who coordinates (curates?) the events must be great, because the center has such valuable exhibits. The Van Gogh exhibit is no exception. It's a must-see. However, all the stars I want to give that exhibit, among other fantastic ones I've attended there, are unfortunately cancelled out by the event staff. In addition to having past issues at mixed martial arts events with door staff, we ran into an issue that took away from the overall experience at the Van Gogh exhibit. I'll just address them (and hopefully their manager) directly with my review. To the two girls at the VIP desk at the Van Gogh exhibit last Friday night, 7/23: I could hear you talk about me. That's a curtain behind you, ladies, not a solid wall. To ridicule a person who simply asked about a price disparity between online tickets and in-person tickets not only shows incredible immaturity on your part, but also a hefty level of unprofessionalism. Grow up. This isn't high school. The quicker you two learn how to act like an adults and not Mean Girls, the better your life will be and the less of a drag on society you will be in the future. Other than that, everyone, it's a fantastic...
Read moreI went to the Women's Health & Lifestyle Fair. I went early this time thinking I could beat the crowd, I was wrong. I got there around 9 I had to find a parking space, ended up in the parking ramp. Oh my gosh there where so many cars, got inside paid my donations. It was so pack in there with people, I got over heated to quick. I bought a $3 bottled water, went to a few booths. If the air was on I couldn't feel it with all those people in there. All I wanted to do was make it there so I could get in the HyVee line, and when I did I saw people standing outside the doors and around the corner already. HyVee really needs to about doing something different next year, about those long lines that you have to wait hours for just to sample different products. I just bought $5 bag and said I'm not standing in that damm...
