We were the first customer. We got there at 11:45am and when we got in, the staff in the cashier said that they open at 12nn even if the sign on the door says it’s open and the store hours in google and on the glass on the entrance indicate that they open at 11 a.m. But we’re trying out this new restaurant and we love Asian food so we went outside in the 96 degrees summer heat to wait; walked a bit around the street to pass time. At around 12:05, we went in and the staff didn’t even greet us. He saw us and kept doing whatever he was doing and kept ignoring us until my husband asked him if we were supposed to order where he was standing or if we were gonna get served. We didn’t know because it was out first time. He told him that we were gonna order there and kept doing what he was doing. He didn’t even give us the menu so my husband took the menu and we sat and looked for whatever we could order. I lost my appetite already because of the way that staff treated us and if we didn’t drive specifically to Downtown Davenport to try the food and if we didn’t endure almost 15 minutes of raging heat just to wait for them to “open”, we wouldn’t eat there.
Food was okay. I’ve already lost my appetite after we were treated like we weren’t welcome and as if the staff didn’t want us there. We paid around $30 for 2 ramen and two drinks, which I think is overpriced considering the amount of noodles in my bowl. Anyway, it’s not worth it for me. If we were treated properly, I’d easily give a higher rating but customer service sucked so bad I don’t ever wanna eat at this...
Read moreSoi 3 is an absolute gem that my husband and I visit every chance we get. Their Duck Rice Noodle Bowl is nothing short of incredible—it’s a dish I crave constantly and order without fail every time we’re there. One of the things we appreciate most about Soi 3 is their intentionally limited menu. To us, it’s a sign that they pour their energy into perfecting each dish rather than offering a long list of “just okay” options. Their focus on quality really shows. We’ve tried several of their appetizers, including the dumplings, crab rangoons, and egg rolls, and every single one has been fantastic. While the portions are small, they are absolutely packed with bold, delicious flavor—it’s quality over quantity in the best way possible. Since their dining room is very small, we often take our food to-go. They package everything so thoughtfully, ensuring the food stays fresh and ready to assemble or enjoy as soon as we get home. If you’re looking for a restaurant that nails every dish they serve, Soi 3 should be at the top...
Read moreTotally loved this place! Not a lot of seating, but it has such a clean and cozy atmosphere! My boyfriend ordered the khoa soi noodles, I had the beef boat noodles (wide noodles, unspicy), and we split an order of fresh rolls. Oh. My. GOODNESS. The fresh rolls were crispy, crunchy, and super fresh, and they came with an amazing ginger peanut sauce. Both of the noodle bowls were phenomenal!! The noodles were well cooked, the curry sauce of the khoa soi was robust and flavorful with just the right thickness, and the beef broth had so many lovely herbs and slices of tender beef! They also offer free refills on fountain drinks. I'd also like to mention, the hostess was incredibly sweet and welcoming! The service was prompt and polite. One note for those new to it, you have to go up to the counter both for a menu...
