Edit: Contacted the email as the response comment from express said. Has been a week and no response. Maybe just a copy-paste response to look responsible, but with no real interest to help.
I recently started purchasing clothes from this store as they seem good quality and good fit. I spent 300 dollars at this store, and everything was ok until I got around wearing one of the jeans that had a rip at the seam. No big deal, I thought. I figured it was a matter of getting an even exchange at the store or for any other pair of jeans that looked ok. ( I was wrong) Upon entering the store early in the morning on a Monday (store empty). Jerry greeted me with a not so good attitude. After explaining my issue and even giving her the tags asking for an exchange se turned extremely rude (I can only imagine she was upset about how early on a Monday it was, not my fault) telling me that I had an attitude which I never had. And she never even had the intention to help me exchange the pants. As she kept feeding the tension by being extremely rude, I decided to leave the store and not let her continue trying to escalate the situation. To the managers of this store, I suggest more training for the people that you have working the front of the store as she was not professional in any way. In the end, Express did not stand behind their product, All I want was a non ripped pair of jeans and your response was to give me a gift card that wouldn't cover any of the jeans at your store. (expecting me to spend even more money). A good practice would be to stand behind the product and exchange for a product in the same tier. She worked so hard to help me piece together an outfit I'm thrilled about wearing to my friend's wedding next month. She hunted down stuff in their stock room, at the outlet in St. Augustine, and online to find me the best fit for the items I liked and she did it with a smile on her face, and a playful, fun, engaging attitude. Really impress with the service and stuff I ended up with. Win through and through....
