Rise Pies — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and have always enjoyed bringing the family and kids. Yesterday I decided to make a quick stop with my two kids right after a long day of school and sports. My kids are starved at this point in the day. I ordered 2 pizzas for them and we end up getting half of the pizza charred and the other half was edible. Well, my kids took a bite of one single slice each because they were really hungry but said “mom we can’t eat the other half because it’s burned.” I then approach the two young ladies running the show here and told them that we need these pizzas remade but can my kids please finish eating at least one slice of the side that is edible? Well, they looked at me as if I was trying to scam someone and even had a 2-3 person group meeting between themselves right in front of me just to give me a very difficult “I guess so”. REALLY??? WOW!! Most restaurants would not even blink an eye to tell you, we are sorry we will make you new pizzas for your kids and they can have whatever is edible out of these ones. They just threw them away anyway and they knew that my kids were super hungry and not feeling well. I did not argue anymore! We are VERY disappointed that the young staff at Rise Pies has not been “PROPERLY TRAINED” to give better customer service to their Paying guests!! And actually make them feel welcome and willing to come back again!! How PETTY it was of them to act that way!! Other restaurants would have not thought twice to make the customer HAPPY and WELCOME!! I think I’ll skip this restaurant for a while and go...

Another Sunday afternoon in search of a good meal to fill our bellies! We decided on a place within the Tanger Outlets Mall.

We stepped in and the place looked very clean and airy. It took us a minute to figure out what we wanted from the menu posted high on a wall just inside the door. We found that all their pizzas are the same personal size at 10".

We all wanted something different about our pies so it added up pretty quick. For a party of 4 our order of 3 personal pizzas, 1 small salad, 1 order of meatballs, breadsticks, a Pellegrino, a fountain drink and 2 dipping sauces rang up at just under $100 with tip. Yikes! We might've decided to go to a table service restaurant for that cost. This was a build-your-own assembly-line type set up for pizzas and salad.

I was impressed by how quickly their oven heated our selections! The employee that greeted us was helpful, cheery and patient as we decided on our toppings and salad additions.

There weren't many other customers in the place when we sat down. The back of the establishment was blocked off with 5 or 6 chairs all in a row from wall to wall, which also meant their restroom was blocked too. No big deal about that but it was something we noticed when readying to leave. After finishing our finishing our food and upon asking for a public restroom, we were happy to learn from a very pleasant employee there was one very close by, diagonally adjacent from Rise Pies.

Overall it was a good experience. It's always a joy to try new-to-us places...

I went into the restaurant the food has no flavor the prices are extremely high, I have read numerous reviews about the workers attitude and not liking their job I to noticed that also, I also noticed that there was under age workers there unattended with no managers or shift leaders present they stated they didn’t know where they where and that they were doing the best they could. I find it very uneasy how the general managers do not address these situations I had a niece that worked there prior she let me know these issues also so I went in to look for myself and I noticed that it was exactly how she said. I noticed I got doubled charged for a thick crust when I ordered a thin crust then I got double charged for extra cheese when I didn’t even ask for double cheese I just said a cheese pizza…. The lack of customer service here sucks, the store was very dirty I wouldn’t normally complain about a store being messy being in a tourist area however that’s even more reason to keep the store clean the bathrooms had stuff all over the floor and the mirrors were dirty…. Seems to me the general mangers only care about taking the money Scott the owner should feel very embarrassed to have employees that have such bad attitudes not in the store working and also the cleanliness…. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend GO TO BLAZE pizza you definitely get your moneys worth the customer service is pretty good and they are...
